More Amazon Game Deals

Amazon has started a new “Buy 2 Get 1 Free” deal and immediately I had to look up if there were any Pokemon titles available.  Right now the only ones I see are Pokemon Diamond/Pearl and Explorers of the Sky.  Otherwise there are quite a few high quality games for the DS (and all other systems) if you still have some Xmas cash left ;D

ps- I don’t recommend getting Diamond or Pearl unless you really feel you must.  Platinum is better, but HeartGold and SoulSilver are really the best “main” RPG games out right now in English.  Unfortunately these were not included in the deal 🙁

  2. I would actually recommend Platinum over HGSS myself, as HGSS felt more like a chore to me (the endless grinding!!).
    Personal preference, I know.

  3. Gah! Minus Layton and Pokemon games (and -maybe- the KH one) … there’s nothing good on there! Mostly kids party games.. and I mean come ON! They try to sell Prof. Layton in a deal, and there’s no Lawyers anywhere to be seen? Objection! If only they had the Edgeworth game… then I might actually USE this deal!

    ..anyways. Pokemon related, I got Crown Entei! 8D

  5. Yeah platinum> hg. They both had their ups and downs but kanto really did ruin hg for me, its just so terribly mind numbing that it really does bring down the experience. Platinum was a much more complete game IMO

How can you recommend HG/SS over Platinum? not including the gimmicky kanto section, HG/SS is way to short, the wild pokemon are way to low, the abundance of kanto pokemon (even in johto) is REALLY frustrating. the only good thing about HG/SS is after e4. but, as someone else mentioned, it is a chore and not all that fun to get there.

    Platinum’s story is great, the gameplay is much more fun and the selection of pokemon is much better

    I suppose its personal taste, but thats my two cents
