Pokémon + Oda Nobunaga Live Translation *Finished*

Hey guys, PokéJungle translator Kriffix here. I haven’t really been doing as much around here since the Black and White pre-release days. It feels like only yesterday that I was part of the team here, disproving fake scans, offering English translations and new Pokémon reveals faster than anywhere else!

Anyways, a live broadcast detailing Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambiton just finished airing, and as usual I translated my findings here for you guys, click the spoiler for pictures:

  • -There have been plans and discussions for a Pokémon x Nobunaga collab for over 3 years.
  • -Many gimmicks allow you to create shortcuts (a new one being Ivy for some grass Pokémon)
  • -Some Pokémon can leave holes at pivotal parts of the map as traps for the enemy.
  • -During battles, General/character events take place depending on how well you do.
  • - Defeat the enemy by defeating them within 15 turns (at least this was the limit in the game shown here) or capture all of their flags.
  • -In the original Nobunaga games there are over 40 famous generals. A concern from a fan was brought up as to whether all would be available to play, to which the representative from KOEI responded that he intends to give more information as time goes on, but for the time being he assures that fans of the Nobunaga series won’t be disappointed with the number of Generals.
  • -A limited edition Black Rayquaza dragon card will be given with the game (In Japan)
  • -Limited edition figures (Nobunaga with Zekrom or Mitsuhide with Articuno) will be given to those who pre-order (In Japan)
  • -A question was asked about the roles of Zekrom and Reshiram. Confirming Reshiram’s presence in the game seemed to be strategically avoided by the producer.
  • -The game was designed to encompass a wide range of fans from young to old.
  • -Oichi’s ability restores some HP of all ally Generals.

P2Cast 1/15/2012 with pokejungle

Ozy and I are doing a new feature in which we’ll give weekly recaps of the news in video format :) Another reminder of how this site never takes itself very seriously :p  Please do NOT expect anything professional looking haha.  Just get comfortable and press play if you’re interested!  Covered this week:

  • - Nobunaga’s Ambition (will it be localized?!)
  • - Crustle C-Gear & Lucario download (US)
  • - Showing off my ‘Circle Pad Pro’ 3DS addon
  • - Upcoming pokejungle wiki

Enjoy (or don’t :( )

<3 pokejungle

ps- After this week each episode will feature a ‘weekly pokemon’ that Ozy and I will critique… but we’ll be picking it out for each other :3

pps- A rare candy for those of you who know what P2 thing the title of the videocast references

PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond (UPD: HD English Trailer!)

The official English name has been revealed!  No boxart yet though :( America will get the game on February 27th, 2012 while Europe will get the game the following March. We’ll bring you anymore news/images as it pops up :D

How many of you are looking to buy it?  I’m honestly curious.  Looks like it was a much larger game than it’s predecessor, but still aimed at the younger fans.

Featured Thread: Wii U RUMOR but worth mentioning by Barry

ps- You’ve probably noticed that I try to include a ‘Featured Thread’ on articles I write from my PC.  Why?  I think our forum is awesome and has a lot of great members who would love some extra activity. If anyone can recall back to September 2010, the forum upgrade to InvisionPowerBoard was actually completely visitor funded ($200USD!) and I recently put an extra $50 to upgrade it and bought a premium layout to make it look better. Not going to evangelize it much more, but just to explain the extra line of some posts ;)

Sweet Amazon Sale

You guys know I like to pimp Amazon deals when there’s a good one involving Pokemon games (or sometimes my favorite first party Nintendo titles) and the one going right now is pretty decent. Buy 2 Get 1 Free! And what could be better than that? Pokemon Black, White, and Rumble Blast are all eligible!  Along with some older Pokemon titles for the DS and a ton of Nintendo games for the 3DS and DS (plus a lot more games actually).

Sale this way –>

If you’ve been waiting to pick up the 5th Gen or Rumble Blast for cheap, this might be a good time to do so.  It excites me most because a deal on a game like Rumble Blast doesn’t usually come less than a week after release! As Reece pointed out, be aware that this is an American sale and 3DS games bought here will not work with another region!

ps- Time is running out to save Bianca, Cheren, and Professor Juniper! Join our Halloween RP and traverse MMC’s haunted house to thwart Ghetsis’ plan!

Pokémon Rumble Blast Releases in the US [UPD]

Time flies when you’re having fun!  It seems like just yesterday I picked this game up in Tokyo, but it’s already launching in English now!  Sadly, because I have a Japanese 3DS, I won’t be able to play in my mother language.  Still a blast (haha) in Japanese anyways though, not a language reliant game in my opinion.  Hope many of you picked up a copy, I really do recommend it!

[UPD] I (Oh this is ozy btw. :p)  just got back from my local GameStop and was planning on playing Rumble Blast right this second, but I’m not. And why is that you ask? Well, apparently the game isn’t coming out until tomorrow. (?) Long story short: I went up to the counter, asked for the game and the lady (who is also the manager of the store, so I guess that makes it more legit?) behind the counter said that the games ship today, but they will be in stores tomorrow. I’m not sure if this is just for my local store or area or something, but regardless, just a word of warning so people don’t get totally down in the dumps because they didn’t get their game today. Ok, back to regular broadcasting:

If you *have* picked up a copy, I have begun my game coverage.  You’ll notice a new “Rumble Blast” section up top and our first part is up that covers ‘Toy Town’ 1-1 through 1-3. I will finish 1-4 tomorrow, I’ve got to sleep for college tomorrow morning, have already spent almost two hours on this.  I’ve been going through the locations with my Japanese games in order to get the information.  Will be checking with Serebii because I’m getting different costs for the move vending machines, hmm…

One of my goals for this site is to become a content source, not just a news blog :) This is one of our first steps in providing more thorough game coverage, and hopefully many more pages will come soon!

ps- beta “Passwords” page is up, but it’s just me testing things so currently there’s only the US Pikachu code up.
