Well we saw in one of the videos that a Lv.50 Mijumaru survived an electric attack from a Lv.50 Shimama. So I would expect it to have high HP or defenses.
@ Hejiru what you claim is right :/ but someone smart enough couldve said: hey look Mijumaru survived that electricity attack, ill just make up him having high defenses and hp.. Therefore, the footage in the second video is nothing new. We saw it before c:

I think these have been proven false forever ago, before now, because hasn’t someone figured out what the names of Tsutarja and Mijumaru’s evo’s names on that there anime beta artwork sheet? Wasn’t Tsutarja’s something like Tsutsawaiya or something? Ivy wire?
@Giuseppe Yes that is true and I don’t believe this is true either (Just because I don’t want it to). But the Beta sheet, was a BETA sheet and can change. (I don’t mean to be mean but I’m just saying)
I actually looked myself, and some of the “letters” don’t match up, so that one rumor probably isn’t true. Unless they changed their names.

It may be a beta sheet, but it appears that Koromori and Kibago didn’t change that much from the beta sheet (or at least Koromori’s name, since that one was the most legible, apparently).

Hey, @Krake, That name he pulled that was ‘ivy wire’ was from the beta sheet. But also on the beta sheet, Tsutaja’s name was spelled wrong, so the name is not confirmed.
ANOTHER grass ground? All it does it give it a 1X to water, while still letting Fire attack it. There is no advantage to it… I guess some ground attacks, for the fire type, but this doesn’t make ANY sense… I hate that… if it is so, then I will probably choose Mijumaru… a water fighting would be cool… and so would Pokabu.. Fire dark…

Yeah, Im really sure that rumor about the starters evolutions and base stats is false, because on the beta anime sheet, i think Mijumaru and Tsutarja’s evolutions were named: Rakonosuke, and Tsutaneeku, and the sheet is official. We dont want another Grass/Ground starter evolution because we already had a Grass/Ground starter: Torterra I wish that Tsutarja’s final evolution will either be a Grass/Dragon, Grass/Flying, or Grass/Electric.
not putting much stock into this but i’ll be pissed if we get another Fire/Fighting or Grass/Ground or frankly any of the other type combos we’ve had for previous starters.
If your translations are correct, I am extremely doubtful of this rumor’s credibility, those names just don’t seem creative enough. Then again, they are japanese names.

‘shishi’ isn’t referring to meat, IMO. It also means ‘lion.’ However, that means a cross animal change, from prey to predator, so I really doubt these.

Funny, I thought Tsutaja second evolution was named Tsutakeku (ツタケーク) and Mijumaru second evolution was named Rakononua (ラコノヌア). This seems as about absurd as those supposed Pokedex leaks. Those type listing are great in theory but no two types, in order, were the same or similar. Are they suggesting they are evolutions to previous Pokemon or that there are a couple dozen new Pokemon that do not evolve? I remain skeptical until proven otherwise.

According to the beta sheets, Mijumaru’s Japanese name is close to ラコノスゾ (Rakonosuzo) or something along those lines. (Note it might be off since it’s hard to make out)
And that is nothing close to Mijutto (ミジュット)

You guys act like you’re able to tell what secondary typing a Pokemon will receive by merely looking at their first form. Are you sure you knew Piplup was gonna be part Steel by Stage 2? No. You’re not supposed to be able to 100% tell my looking at the basic form. =/
The “shishi” part of Pokabu’s evos probably comes from the word “inoshishi” (boar).

I don’t believe these rumours either. For starters I don’t see why a “Sea otter” would take “river” in its name as an evolution. Still though, kudos for taking your time to sift through all of the crap that the 2channellers post in order to look for truth. It totally pays off on the occasions it turns out true!

It’s quite unbelievable for Tsutaja’s stats, it takes so much damage from Hihidaruma’s and Pokabu’s Fire-type move at the same level, suggesting that it has low Defense.

also, david pointed out that in the post with the two DVD videos before this one, if you look at the hp of the three starters tsutajaa’s is the highest of the three even. and they’re all level 50…so this gives even more reason to believe these are fake. :/

Hey guys, remeber the anime concept art? If you don’t, look it up. See Tsutaaja’s evolution? There is almost no way that it is Ground type. It may be Psychic or Dark, Maybe Dragon (that would be awesome!) but defiantly not Ground. That’s just more proof that these are probably false.

This rumor can’t be true, since Tsutarja’s evolution was named “Tsuta-ne-ku” (Tsutarnake or Tsutaaneiku) in the anime beta character reference sheet that leaked a few weeks ago.
In kana, it would read like ツターネーク.
I feel that except for Generation III, Pokemon is unkind towards Grass-type starters — They only give them low BSTs of 525…………..

Just because they names are different on the beta sheet doesn’t mean these can’t be real. The beta sheet is a beta sheet not fully Developed and still a work in progress so the names could still have been changed in the final product.

Im pretty sure that rumor isnt true, because the starter pokemon’s moves: Grass Mixer makes it more likely that Tsutarja’s final evo will be Grass/Flying. Nitro Charge will make it more likely that Pokabu’s final evo will be Fire/Steel.
