From MMC~

Hey everyone~

I'd love to take this time to wish you all the warmest wishes for a time of family and fun. Hope you get lots of good presents and enjoy the rest of 2008. Remember to be safe and drink responsibly! (If you're of legal age ;D )

I'd also like to wish a fond farewell to my site, PJN, which is officially closed. It will remain up (I'll be taking down the news area though) for reference purposes but will not be updated really. I sadly just have too much on my plate to handle a site with the dedication that it demands. No fears though, MMC is in no sort trouble and will keep on trucking as long as it has members like you to keep it going. PJN had a good run, since January 29th, 2003. Almost made it to six years! WOW.

If there are any dedicated souls out there, I'm still keeping everything. I'm open to the possibility of opening the site again once I have time or help with it.

Love you guys <33 It's always been great to have support from people who visit my site and the members here. It has also been a joy to work with such talented webmasters through the years, such as saul and Sarah. Previous people such as Morkula, Jkaizer, Matt (Snapple), and more.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! ENJOY!

EDIT:

After reading all those comments on the last news post (lol) thought I'd share something a 'lil personal. I have extremely bad depression. If any of you know me more than just through this site, you might know I switched schools midway through the year last year because I was just so overwhelmed with everything I couldn't keep up academically. I went from being an A+ student to barely squeeking by with Cs and Ds. And just like the homework was overwhelming for me, so is the upkeep of a site. I'm a full time college student + have a part time job. That's a huge commitment for me and while I loved working on PJN for almost 6 years, it's really difficult.

But it has been a huge part of my life and I don't think I'd be on the track to being a game designer if I hadn't gotten involved online, started coding, and testing the waters with designing websites. XHTML and programming have little in common but it did start me on the path I'm on and piqued my interest to work with computers.

Will PJN be dead forever? Probably not. There actually has been a lot of interest with people wanting to help me with it and such but I have to get everything straightened out and I'd rather if people weren't constantly sitting there with bated breath for me to update.

Plus I still really do want to outdo any layout I've ever done.

Sorry, this is the last non-Pokemon update I plan to do for awhile.

And honestly I was planning on closing PJN, but I guess there are still people that visit it. And I've gotten about 5 affiliate requests in the last week, so... Perhaps it's worth keeping up.

I want to rehaul the design to make it much more usable and less boring/generic. So I'll start keeping up on news again and hope to have the new layout done in mid November-ish.

Thanks for the support guys, I'm off to work now!

Happy Birthday by PokeJungle

...to me. That's my excuse for not updating for about the next four days. Lots of debauchery and fun scheduled.

PS- I'm 19 now. Scary huh? Started PJN when I was like 13 or 14.

This is the face of the new DS revision. Nintendo has JUST announced this in Japan (moments ago, literally). What are the details we have? I'll update as we go along:
- TWO cameras, at least one with VGA quality
- No GBA slot, making it ~12% slimmer
- 3.25" screens, bigger than the DS / Lite models
- Support for Photo / Music / Media
- Syncs with Wii's Photo channel
- SD card support + internal storage
- "DSi" store will work in similar manner to the Wii Shop Channel (point system too)
- Built in browser this time around
- Debuting at ~$180USD on November 1st (Japan) in Black and White

I may not have had platinum, but at least I can grab *some* news fast.

UPDATE: You can now check out the OFFICIAL site with some cool pictures (detailed!) and basic information (already listed) here.

PS- if any of you saw that the Oekaki was suffering problems, worry no longer. I have also updated it completely and changed the banner. For those of you who love to draw and have not yet checked out our online artist haven (with 2,500+ members)...go to http://scanvas.net!

Pokemon Platinum Coverage by PokeJungle
  09 / 11 / 2008 || Category: Games

If you want to follow what's happening, hit up PokeBeach or Serebii. Frankly I don't have the Japanese game and I'll definitely be waiting to snag the English version.

My comments:
- Glad Battle Frontier is back
- WiFi Minigames sound fun
- Story seems lacking as always
- PokeTch BADLY needed up/down buttons, great
- Glad that the Trainer vs Gym Leader sprites are no longer PIXELATED. (Annoyed the **** out of me)
- Hopefully harder game

So yeah, check the links for continued coverage. I'll update some pages when I have time. That's something I've had about zero of lately. =p
