Since Pokémon Legends: Z-A takes place entirely in the urban environment of Lumiose City, there are no traditional routes, mountains or bodies of water in which to encounter Wild Pokémon. Instead, Quasartico Inc. has designed Wild Zones that are specifically designated areas for wild Pokémon and humans to co-exist and share the city.
The Pokémon within Wild Zones enjoy a variety of environments and can be caught by Trainers. You can immediately try to throw a Poké Ball to catch a Pokémon but can also battle them to get them into a weakened state in which they’ll be easier to catch.
