Pokémon normally require holding their Mega Stone and a Trainer with a Key Stone to Mega Evolve, but in Pokémon Legends: Z-A players will need to investigation the Rogue Mega Evolution phenomenon. These Mega Evolved Pokémon have no trainers, but somehow Mega Evolved and are wreaking havoc on Lumiose City.
Battling Rogue Mega Evolved Pokémon can be compared to Noble Pokémon battles in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. You cannot catch these Pokémon, but they will reward the player with their corresponding Mega Stone.
Each battle will test your ability to not only defeat the rogue Pokémon but also dodge its attacks. There are a total of 16 Rogue Mega Evolved Pokémon to defeat.
