The Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition’s next location has been revealed!

The Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition made its American debut at Chicago’s Field Museum, but fans only have until April 11, 2027, to experience it there. Today its next location was revealed as the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, which will host it starting May 28, 2027.

“Pokémon Fossil Museum offers a unique way to engage guests of all ages with paleontological science,” said Patrick O’Connor, director of Earth & Space Sciences at the Museum. “By pairing familiar Pokémon with actual fossils from natural history, we’re creating a unique entry point for learning about prehistoric life and the scientific process of studying fossils.”

The exhibition showcases real fossils and specimen casts, including a cast of the iconic SUE the T. rex skull, displayed alongside well-known Pokémon such as Tyrantrum, a Rock/Dragon-type Pokémon whose massive jaws can demolish a car. Guests can explore how fossils are found and studied in both the Pokémon and real worlds while examining the similarities and differences between the specimens and sculptures.

The Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition was created by the Field Museum in Chicago, the National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo, and The Pokémon Company International.

Press release

The Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition features many Pokémon models and facts alongside real-world paleontological information.

We hope to see the exhibit continue to tour across the U.S. and beyond so more fans can experience it for themselves.
