The first section of Pokémon Pokopia‘s Expansion Pass will be launching on August 5, most likely alongside the new update that adds underwater exploration for all players! The initial DLC will add the Bubbly Basin town to the game, which includes new Pokémon to befriend, outfits and furniture.
Update: The new trailer has been officially released and can watch below. We’ve added new information to the article reflecting what it contains. A new event featuring Feebas was also announced — it starts August 13!
The August 5 release date was revealed in a Japanese trailer that has now been made private, signaling that the information may not have been intended to go live today. It confirmed the inclusion of Corsola, Stunfisk and Starmie.
Part 1: Bubbly Basin preview
Once you learn the move Dive and complete the quest “Raise the environment level!” in Bleak Beach, you’ll be able to visit the town of Bubbly Basin, an underwater area to rebuild. New floating blocks will allow you to create homes and other creations above the seafloor.
There are new Pokémon to meet, as well as new adventures.
New furniture and outfits will allow for even more customization.
A Starmie doll will allow access to a new Dream Island for your resource gathering needs.
Additionally, the free update will introduce the move Dive which will allow all Pokopia owners to explore and build underwater in certain areas, no DLC needed!
Expansion Pass Part 2 details
The second part of the Pokopia Expansion Pass will bring the ability to dress up Ditto and other Pokémon with accessories! You can see examples in the screenshots above.
Additionally, artwork of Ditto, Peakychu and Snubbull from Part 2 have been shared.
Following the release of the Pokopia Expansion Pass‘s Part 1: Bubbly Basin, Part 2 will be releasing this winter and Part 3 will add a second DLC town next year.
