Pokémon GO is springing some new events on players for April, including Tinkatink Community Day, Sustainability Week and Riolu Hatch Day! You can read about what’s coming in each below.
Tinkatink Community Day details
Tinkatink Community Day will take place in GO on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. You’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Tinkatink and may find one with a special background. You can see normal and Shiny colorations of Tinkatink, Tinkatuff and Tinkaton below.
If Tinkatuff, Tinkatink’s evolution, is evolved into Tinkaton during the event or within four hours after it ends, it will know the featured attack Gigaton Hammer which has a base power of 130 in Trainer Battles or 300 when used in Gym battles or Raids.
The following bonuses will be available during the Community Day:
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
- Lure Modules will last for one hour and may attract the featured Pokémon.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.
Sustainability Week details
Pokémon GO will be holding a Sustainability Week event from Tuesday, April 14, at 10:00 a.m. until Monday, April 20, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Silicobra and its evolution Sandaconda will be debuting during the event and special costumed Galarian Corsola will also appear. In addition, it will be the first time Shiny Toedscool will be available to encounter.
A Pokémon GO Pass will be active for the event, along with milestone bonuses.
Wild encounters
During the event, the following Pokémon will appear more frequently:
- Seedot*
- Castform*
- Silicobra
- Wiglett*
- Toedscool
- …and more!
Pokémon Eggs
The following Pokémon can hatch from 7 km Eggs obtained during the event:
- Galarian Corsola wearing pink sunglasses*
- Lapras*
- Togepi*
- Castform (Normal)*
- Trubbish*
Route encounters
Certain Pokémon will appear more frequently on routes on different days:
April 14 at 10:00 a.m. to April 16 at 10:00 a.m. local time
- Galarian Corsola wearing pink sunglasses*
- Togetic*
April 16 at 10:00 a.m. to April 18 at 10:00 a.m. local time
- Galarian Corsola wearing pink sunglasses*
- Trubbish*
April 18 at 10:00 a.m. to April 20 at 8:00 p.m. local time
- Galarian Corsola wearing pink sunglasses*
- Lapras*
*An asterisk denotes a Pokémon may be Shiny when encountered
Riolu Hatch Day details
On Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, players will be able to hatch Riolu much more frequently from 2 km Pokémon Eggs obtained during the event and they have a higher likelihood of being Shiny.
In addition, the following bonuses will be in effect:
- 2× Candy from hatching Eggs*
- 2× XP from hatching Eggs*
- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance*
- Increased chance of hatching Shiny Riolu
- Increased chance of receiving 2 km Eggs from spinning PokéStops
