The Nintendo Switch 2 title Pokémon Pokopia will be releasing on March 5 and Pokémon GO is getting in on the celebration! It’s adding two costumed Ditto to the game along with other bonuses for players!
The Pokémon Pokopia Celebration runs from Tuesday, March 10, at 10:00 a.m. until Monday, March 16, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. In addition to the two hat-wearing Ditto that players can encounter, these bonuses and activities will be available:
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Sudowoodo and Shiny Zorua
- 2× XP for spinning PokéStops
- 10× XP for spinning a PokéStop for the first time
- Event-themed Field Research tasks
- Free Timed Research
- Event-themed Collection Challenges
Wild Pokémon
The following Pokémon will be spawning during the event:
- Bulbasaur*
- Charmander*
- Squirtle*
- Pikachu*
- Sudowoodo*
- Zorua*
- …and more!
Three-Star Raids
- Lapras*
- Snorlax*
- Dragonite*
*An asterisk denotes a Pokémon that may be Shiny when encountered.
There will also be Pokopia stickers to purchase which can be used when sending gifts to friends in GO.
Snag a free avatar item
During the event, players can get a free Ditto Eye Mask for their avatar. It will be available after the event ends, although it is unclear if it will still be free if not claimed during the event.
