Two new events, High Zaptitude and Precious Pals, have been revealed for Pokémon GO and players will be able to participate in them later this month. Get ready for the debut of Wattrel and its evolution Kilowattrel, as well as Shiny Fidough!
High Zaptitude event details
From Tuesday, January 13, at 10:00 a.m. until Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time the High Zaptitude event will be active in GO and players can work together to complete Global Challenges that will unlock bonuses, including the introduction of Wattrel and Kilowattrel into the game.
Additionally, for the duration of the event, Shiny Tadbulb will be easier to hatch from Eggs! There will also be event-themed Field Research tasks that can be picked up from PokéStops.
Global Challenge rewards:
- Level 1 Reward: Double XP for catching Pokémon
- Level 2 Reward: Double Stardust for catching Pokémon and the debut of the Storm Petrel Pokémon Wattrel and its Evolution, Kilowattrel
- Level 3 Rewards: Double XP for hatching Pokémon and double Stardust for hatching Pokémon

Players can hatch the following Pokémon from 2 km Eggs obtained during the event:

Precious Pals event details
The Precious Pals event will take place in GO from Tuesday, January 20, at 10:00 a.m. until Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time and introduces the chance to catch Shiny Fidough!
While the event is active, the following bonuses and activities will be active:
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Goldeen.
- Increased chance to hatch Shiny Goldeen and Shiny Fidough.
- Additional Candy XL when walking with your Buddy Pokémon.
- Earn additional hearts with your Buddy Pokémon.
- Limited-time Evolution requirement: Evolve Eevee into Sylveon after earning 20 hearts with Eevee as your buddy.*
- Limited-time Evolution requirement: Evolve Pancham into Pangoro after catching ten Dark-type Pokémon with Pancham as your buddy.*
- Limited-time Evolution requirement: Evolve Pawmo into Pawmot after exploring 5 km with Pawmo as your buddy.*
- Event-themed Field Research tasks from PokéStops
- Event-themed Collection Challenges
