The new year will start with a new Pokémon arriving in Pokémon GO, Klawf, and also another chance to take on Kyurem in its fused forms and gain Volt and Blaze Fusion Energy to fuse your own Kyurem and Zekrom and Reshiram to get Black Kyurem and White Kyurem, respectively.
Pinch Perfect event details
The Pinch Perfect event will take place from Tuesday, January 6, at 10:00 a.m. until Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time and introduces the Paldean Pokémon Klawf to Pokémon GO! It will also be the first time players will have the chance to encounter Shiny Dhelmise.
While the event is active, the following bonuses will be in effect:
- 2× XP for catching Pokémon
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny Corphish, Shiny Dwebble, and Shiny Clauncher
There will also be event-themed Field Research tasks and free Timed Research.
Pokémon Raids
Keep your eyes peeled for the following Pokémon in Raids:
One-Star Raids
- Corphish*
- Dwebble*
- Clauncher*
Three-Star Raids
- Dhelmise*
- Dondozo*
*An asterisk denotes Pokémon that may be Shiny when encountered
Kyurem Fusion Raid Day details
On Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, players can take part in Kyurem Fusion Raid Day. During the event, the following bonuses will be in effect:
- Reshiram, Zekrom, Black Kyurem* and White Kyurem* will appear more frequently in raids, and these Raid Bosses will alternate each half hour during event hours. Reshiram and Black Kyurem will appear in raids first, followed by Zekrom and White Kyurem. Take on these raids to obtain Fusion Energy that can be used to fuse Kyurem into more formidable forms!
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Reshiram, Shiny Zekrom, and Shiny Kyurem in raids.
- Receive up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a total of six).
- The Remote Raid Pass limit will increase to 20 from Friday, January 9, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. PST.
Featured attacks
The three featured Pokémon have special featured attacks during the event:
- Reshiram encountered in raids will also know the Charged Attack Fusion Flare.
- Zekrom encountered in raids will also know the Charged Attack Fusion Bolt.
- Kyurem encountered in raids may know the Charged Attack Glaciate.
