New Pokémon debuts and the return of a Gigantamax Max Battle are coming soon to Pokémon GO!
Well Armed event details
The Well Armed event will take place in GO from Thursday, December 11, at 10:00 a.m. until Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. While the event is active, players will receive double Candy when catching Pokémon and have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Dynamax Hitmonlee and Dynamax Hitmonchan! There will also be event-themed Field Research tasks from PokéStops.
Players will need to work together to complete Global Challenges by participating in Max Battles to unlock:
- The debut of Clobbopus in the wild and in Field Research, which can be evolved into Grapploct with 50 Clobbopus Candies
- Mienfoo* and Jangmo-o* in the wild
- Increased Candy and Candy XL from Max Battles

- Machop*
- Makuhita*
- Octillery (Rare)

Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day details
Gigantamax Snorlax will return to Max Battles in Pokémon GO on Sunday, December 14, 2025, between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. local time! This event will include the following bonuses:
- Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600.
- All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles.
- Power Spots will refresh more frequently.
- 8× Max Particles from Power Spots.
- Two additional Special Trades.
- December 13 at 5:00 p.m. to December 14 at 8:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8):
- Daily Remote Raid limit will increase from 10 to 20.
- December 14, 2025, from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time:
- 2× Max Particles from exploring.
- 1/4 Adventuring distance to receive Max Particles.
From December 8 at 6:00 a.m. until December 14 at 5:00 p.m local time, there will be free Timed Research to earn a Dynamax Machop that you can use to battle Gigantamax Snorlax with.
