Two events will soon be starting in Pokémon GO: Dynamax Lugia Max Battle Weekend and Journey to Paldea! They will be introducing Dynamax Lugia and the Pokémon Nacli, as well as its evolutions Naclstack and Garganacl, respectively.
Dynamax Lugia Max Battle Weekend details
Dynamax Lugia Max Battle Weekend will take place from Saturday, November 29, at 6:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. local time and will be the first time players can catch Dynamax Lugia.
While the event is active, the following bonuses will be in effect:
- Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
- 1/4 Adventuring distance to receive Max Particles*
- Power Spots will refresh more frequently
- 8× Max Particles from Power Spots
There will also be free Timed Research for players to complete that’s already live in the game.
Journey to Paldea event details
Ready to catch Nacli for the first time in Pokémon GO? It will make its debut in the Journey to Paldea event which will run from Tuesday, December 2, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. You’ll be able to evolve Nacli to Naclstack for 25 Nacli Candy and Naclstack to Garganacl for 100 Nacli Candy.
While the event is active, you’ll be able to enjoy the following bonuses:
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Larvitar and Shiny Bagon
- 2× XP for winning Raid Battles
- 2× XP for evolving Pokémon
There will also be event-themed Field Research from PokéStops, Collection Challenges and optional paid Timed Research.

Three-Star Raids will feature the following Pokémon, with the Paldean Tauros breed dependent on the geographical location of the raid:

- Paldean Tauros (Blaze Breed) (Eastern Hemisphere)
- Paldean Tauros (Aqua Breed) (Western Hemisphere)
