Eevee, Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist will be helping to celebrate the spookiest season of the year in Pokémon Sleep! The week-long celebration will be starting on Monday, October 27, and lasting until November 3. Players can participate by conducting their sleep research on Greengrass Isle.
Pumpkaboo, Gourgeist and a Halloween Eevee make their debut
Two Pokémon will be making their debut in Sleep during the Halloween celebrations, Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist. They will be available to find after the event ends as well and can be found at Greengrass Isle, Old Gold Power Plant, and Greengrass Isle (Expert).
Just like in the main series, Pumpkaboo and Gourgiest have different sizes that can appear — each size has different helping stats. Larger forms have a higher carry limit, while smaller forms help more quickly. There are a total of four sizes that can be found.
Limited to the event will be Eevee wearing a Halloween hat.
Halloween event bonuses
Players will be able to take advantage of double the usual number of candies received from Sleep Research and triple the number on Halloween and November 2! Here’s a full list of bonuses:
- Certain Pokémon will be more likely to appear during sleep research.
- Each time a Ghost-type helper Pokémon brings you ingredients as it regularly would, it will have 1 extra.
- The chance of any Ghost-type helper Pokémon’s main skill being triggered will be multiplied by 1.25.
- Main skill levels of Ghost-type helper Pokémon will be boosted by 3 when they trigger.
- The Snorlax in the event areas will have Bluk Berries (Ghost type) set as one of its favorite Berries. The other two kinds of Berries are chosen at random.
- A few Pokémon of different sleep types will appear during sleep research regardless of your sleep type for that day.
While the event is active, Eevee (Halloween), Pumpkaboo, and Gourgeist will have a much greater chance of appearing and the following Pokémon will also have slightly boosted appearance rates: Pikachu (Halloween), Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Shuppet, Banette, Drifloon, Drifblim, Mimikyu, and Skeledirge.
