Indeedee and Dudunsparce debut in September Pokémon GO events

While fans should take advantage of the Pokémon Concierge-themed event that has begun rolling out across the world in Pokémon GO, two new events have also been announced for later this month and each will bring a new Pokémon to the game!

Psychic Spectacular: Taken Over event details

The Psychic Spectacular: Taken Over event will take place in Pokémon GO from Tuesday, September 16, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. It introduces the Emotion Pokémon Indeedee into the game, which can be hatched from 5 km Eggs. Players also have a chance to hatch Shiny Indeedee.

Indeedee have distinct gender differences, with males having horns that curls upwards on their heads and females having horns that point downwards. Their shiny forms feature turquoise fur and purple horns.

There are also stat differences between male and female Indeedee; males have higher attack but less defense and stamina, while females have slightly lower attack and better defense and stamina.

During the Psychic Spectacular: Taken Over event, the following bonuses will be in effect:

  • Additional Candy for Nice Throws or better.
  • 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period.
  • Increased chance for Candy XL for Nice Throws or better for Trainers level 31 and up.
  • Lunatone and Solrock will both appear in the wild during the event, regardless of your location.
  • Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons.*
  • You can use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.*
  • Pokémon caught via one-star and three-star Shadow Raids during the event will have a wider variance of Attack, Defense, and HP.*

Challenge Team GO Rocket

In addition, players will receive a Special Research that will ultimately reward a Super Rocket Radar. This can be used to encounter Giovani, who will have Shadow Incarnate Forme Tornadus that players can catch after defeating him.

Pokémon that Team GO Rocket Leaders Sierra, Cliff, and Arlo will also be different and the following Pokémon can be found by defeating Grunts:

  • Shadow Qwilfish
  • Shadow Swablu
  • Shadow Baltoy
  • Shadow Deino

*This Pokémon has a chance of being Shiny when encountered

Completely Normal event details

From Tuesday, September 23, at 10:00 a.m. to Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time, the Completely Normal event will be taking place in Pokémon GO. Dudunsparce will be added to the game and will evolve from Dunsparce normally with 50 Dunsparce Candy. This event will also change which Pokémon Ditto are appearing as and that will continue past the event’s end.

Dunsparce will usually evolve into a two-segment Dudunsparce, however there is a 1-in-100 chance that it will evolve into a three-segment Dudunsparce. The difference is cosmetic only and has no effect on its stats or moveset.

During the event, the following bonuses will be active:

  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× XP for evolving Pokémon.
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Dunsparce.
  • Increased chance to encounter Ditto.
  • Event-themed Collection Challenge.
  • Event-themed Field Research tasks.
