A Summer Concert and Dynamax Latios and Latias are coming to Pokémon GO

We’re almost midway through July, but there are still events to look forward to in Pokémon GO; new Dynamax battles are coming and players will have the opportunity to enjoy background music chosen by Pokémon music composer Junichi Masuda!

Summer Concert event details

From Saturday, July 19, to Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. local time each day, players will be able to enjoy musical selections from Pokémon video game series composer and Chief Creative Fellow of The Pokémon Company Junichi Masuda! The background music arrangement will be made up of tracks selected by Masuda, so make sure you have the sound enabled.

During the event, the following bonuses will be active:

  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for one hour
  • Lure Modules will attract specific Pokémon during the event
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Chatot at PokéStops with active Lure Modules
  • Event-themed Field Research tasks which may reward encounters with Spinda

Lure modules on PokéStops will attract the following Pokémon (and don’t forget that Chatot will have an increased chance of being Shiny!):

  • Jigglypuff*
  • Lotad*
  • Kricketot*
  • Chatot*
  • Audino*
  • Noibat*
  • Popplio*

*An asterisk denotes that this Pokémon may be Shiny when encountered

Dynamax Latios and Latias Max Battle Weekend

From Saturday, July 26, at 6:00 a.m. until Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. local time, the Dynamax Latias and Dynamax Latios Max Battle Weekend will be taking place! It will be the debut of both Dynamax Latias and Dynamax Latios.

During the event, the following bonuses will be active:

  • Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
  • 1/4 adventuring distance to receive Max Particles*
  • Power Spots will refresh more frequently
  • 8× Max Particles from Power Spots
  • Free Timed Research distributed from Monday, July 21
  • 3/4 Max Particle cost for unlocking and powering up Max Moves (Monday, July 21, at 6:00 a.m. to Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. local time)

No announcement has been made about increased odds to encounter Shiny Latios or Shiny Latias, but they can be Shiny. You can see their normal and Shiny variations below.
