Golden Week is a period in Japan with multiple public holidays resulting in almost an entire week off for students and some workers. To celebrate, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be having Tera Raid battles and Mass Outbreaks! Both will be taking place from Tuesday, April 29 at 7:00 p.m. CT until Thursday, May 8, at 6:59 p.m. Read on to find out what’s in store.
Gimmighoul (Chest Form) Tera Raid battles
Gimmighoul in its Chest Form will be appearing in 1 to 5-Star Tera Raid battles and can be found with various Tera Types. You may encounter a Shiny Gimmighoul during this event!
You can see normal Gimmighoul (Chest Form) coloration, as well as its evolution Gholdengo, versus their Shiny appearances below.
How to evolve Gimmighoul into Gholdengo: You’ll need to collect 999 Gimmighoul Coins and have them in your bag and then level up Gimmighoul to trigger its evolution into Gholdengo.
Golden Week Mass Outbreak in Scarlet & Violet
In the different regions featured in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as well as their DLC, three Pokémon with yellow (or “golden”) Shiny forms will be spawning in Mass Outbreaks!
- Paldea: Wiglett
- Kitakami: Growlithe
- Blueberry Academy: Swablu
