Several new events for Pokémon GO have been detailed for next month and you can read about them below!
Spring into Spring event details
From Wednesday, April 9, at 10 a.m. until Monday, April 14, 2025, at 8 p.m. local time, players can take part in the Spring into Spring event! It will introduce the Generation VIII Pokémon Gossifleur into the game, which can be evolved into Eldegoss. Players will also have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Remoraid and Shiny Fletchling!
Wild Pokémon spawns
During the entirety of the event, the following Pokémon will be spawning more frequently in the wild:
- Remoraid*
- Fletchling*
- Gossifleur
Other Pokémon that may appear are dependent on the date:
April 9 at 10 a.m. – April 10 at 11:59 p.m.

- Lotad*
- Ducklett*
- Dewpider*
- Lapras* (Rare)
April 11 at 12 a.m. – April 12 at 11:59 p.m.

Pokémon Eggs
Players will have a chance of hatching the following Pokémon from the associated Egg if they receive it during the event:
2 km Eggs
- Magby*
- Budew*
- Mantyke*
5 km Eggs
- Remoraid*
- Fletchling*
- Gossifleur
*Pokémon may be Shiny when encountered
Bonuses and activities
During the event, players can take advantage of:
- 2× Lucky Egg duration.
- 2× Candy from hatching Eggs.
- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance (Egg must be put into Incubator during the event)
- Event-themed Field Research tasks
- Event-themed Paid Research
- Event-themed Collection Challenges
- Event-themed PokéStop Showcases
Tyrogue Hatch Day
On Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, players can take part in Tyrogue Hatch Day!
In addition to an increased chance of hatching Shiny Tyrogue, the following bonuses will also be in effect:
- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators (active from Friday, April 4, at 10:00 a.m. until Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. local time)
- 2× Candy from hatching Eggs
- Increased chance of receiving 2 km Eggs from spinning PokéStops
Players can also participate in free Timed Research and optional Paid Research, and pick up event-themed Field Research tasks at PokéStops over the weekend.
This will be a good time to try to get a high-IV Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan and Hitmontop — and maybe even a Shiny one!
April Community Day
The next Pokémon GO Community Day will feature the frosty Generation V Pokémon Vanillite and takes place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time! During the event, you’ll have a greater chance of encountering Shiny Vanillite. You can see Vanillite and its evolutions Vanillish and Vanilluxe, as well as their Shiny coloration, below.
Evolving Vanillish to Vanilluxe will allow it to move the Charged Attack Avalanche, which has a base power of 90 in Trainer Battles or 85 when used in Gyms and raids.
Bonuses and activities
During the event, players can take advantage of:
- Triple XP for catching Pokémon
- Double Candy for catching Pokémon
- Double chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours
- Surprise snapshots during the event hours
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust
- Themed Field Research tasks
- Themed Community Day Special Background Timed Research
- Optional paid Community Day Special Research
- Themed PokéStop Showcases
