More Generation VIII Pokémon are coming home to roost in Pokémon GO with the advent of its Steeled Resolve event! But that’s not all — players will also be able learn featured attacks with select Pokémon, progress the Dual Destiny Special Research story and more!
The Steeled Resolve event will run from Tuesday, January 21, at 10 a.m. until Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 8 p.m. local time.
How to get Rookiedee, Corvisquire and Corviknight in Pokémon GO
First introduced in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, players will be able to obtain Rookiedee, Corvisquire and Corviknight in Pokémon GO starting on Tuesday, January 21, at 10 a.m. local time when the Steeled Resolve event begins. That being said, they won’t be spawning in the wild!
You’ll need to hatch Rookidee from 2 km Eggs and then evolve Rookidee into Corvisquire for 25 Rookidee Candy and then evolve Corvisquire into Corviknight for 100 Rookidee Candy to complete the evolutionary line in your Pokédex.
Wild Pokémon spawns during the Steeled Resolve event
Players will have the chance of encountering the following Pokémon in the wild during the event’s duration:
- Clefairy*
- Machop*
- Totodile*
- Marill*
- Hoppip*
- Paldean Wooper*
- Shieldon*
- Bunnelby*
- Carbink
- Mareanie*
Raid bosses
Those who enjoy raiding should keep their eyes peeled for the following Pokémon in One and Five-Star Raids, as well as Mega Pokémon in Mega Raids:
One-Star Raids
- Lickitung*
- Skorupi*
- Pancham*
- Amaura*
Five-Star Raids
- Deoxys (Attack Forme)* until January 24 at 10 a.m.
- Deoxys (Defense Forme)* until January 24 at 10 a.m.
- Dialga* starting January 24 at 10 a.m.
Mega Raids
Mega Gallade* until January 24 at 10 a.m.
Mega Medicham* starting January 24 at 10 a.m.
Pokémon Eggs
Players have the chance of hatching the following Pokémon from 2 km Eggs during the event:
- Shieldon*
- Carbink
- Mareanie*
- Rookidee
Learn featured attacks during the Steeled Resolve event
When evolved during the event, certain Pokémon will be able to learn a featured attack:
- Machamp will learn the Fast Attack Karate Chop when evolved from Machoke during the event
- Feraligatr will learn the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon when evolved from Croconaw during the event
- Quagsire will learn the Charged Attack Aqua Tail when evolved from Wooper during the event
- Lickilicky will learn the Charged Attack Body Slam when evolved from Lickitung during the event
- Corviknight will learn the Charged Attack Iron Head when evolved from Corvisquire during the event
- Clodsire will learn the Charged Attack Megahorn when evolved from Paldean Wooper during the event
Research
There will also be event- themed Field Research available from spinning PokéStops, as well as paid Timed Research.
