Things are getting fashionable and fierce in Pokémon GO‘s upcoming Fashion Week event, which will also have a Team Rocket-focused takeover element. Get ready to strut your stuff by reading the details below!
Catch new costumed Pokémon in this year’s Fashion Week
Fashion Week will be running in Pokémon GO from Friday, January 10, at 10 a.m. until Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 8 p.m. local time and includes both new costumed Pokémon spawns, new Field Research tasks and event bonuses.
Players will have an increased chance of finding the following Shiny Pokémon as a reward from Field Research tasks and Raid encounters:
- Costumed Minccino NEW!
- Costumed Butterfree
- Costumed Dragonite
- Furfrou
Wild Pokémon Spawns
- Costumed Diglett*
- Costumed Blitzle*
- Costumed Kirlia* (Rare but increased chance of being Shiny)
- Skitty*
- Buneary*
- Furfrou*
- Bruxish
Raid bosses
The following Pokémon can be challenged in Raids during the event.
One-Star Raids
- Costumed Minccino
- Costumed Shinx
- Furfrou
Three-Star Raids
- Costumed Butterfree
- Costumed Dragonite

- 2× Stardust from catching Pokémon

In addition, there will be paid Timed Research and new avatar clothing for sale.
Fashion Week: Taken Over details
Starting Wednesday, January 15, at 12 a.m. and lasting until Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 8 p.m. local time, Team Rocket will be stirring up trouble and introducing havoc into Fashion Week!
Pokémon debuts
Shroodle will be available to hatch from 12 km eggs and Trainers can evolve it into Grafaiai with 50 Shroodle Candy.
Battle Team Rocket to encounter Shadow Pokémon
Players can liberate Shadow Palkia from Giovanni’s control by defeating him. A Super Rocket Radar will be available via Special Research to facilitate encountering him. The research will be available to claim until March 4, 2025 at 9:59 a.m. local time.
Team Rocket Leaders and Grunts will be sporting new Shadow Pokémon in battle, including:
- Shadow Taillow
- Shadow Snivy
- Shadow Tepig
- Shadow Oshawott
- Shadow Trubbish
- Shadow Bunnelby
These have a chance of being Shiny.

- You can use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration

- A Collection Challenge will be available
