Following the first part of its Halloween event, Pokémon GO will be starting additional Halloween celebrations in its second half! Players will be able to capture costumed Pokémon, take on Gigantamax Gengar and more from Monday, October 28, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Read on for details!
Catch new costumed Pokémon
Courtesy of Serebii.net, you can see the sprites for costumed Rowlet and Froakie, as well as their evolutions, above. Both have a chance of being encountered in their Shiny form.
Challenge Gigantamax Gengar
During the event, players can challenge Gigantamax Gengar in Six-Star Max Battles. Gengar has a chance of being Shiny when being caught.
Halloween Part II event bonuses
The following bonuses will be active during the event for players:
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Zorua in the wild.
- Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.
- Increased chance to encounter the following Shiny Pokémon in raids:
- Gengar wearing a Spooky Festival costume
- Umbreon
- Drifblim wearing a Halloween Mischief costume
- Froakie wearing a Pokémon Halloween costume
- Rowlet wearing a Pokémon Halloween costume
- Increased chance to hatch the following Shiny Pokémon from Eggs:
- Vulpix wearing a Spooky Festival costume
- Pichu wearing a witch hat
- Froakie wearing a Pokémon Halloween costume
- Rowlet wearing a Pokémon Halloween costume
- On October 31, costumed Pokémon will have a small chance to give Rare Candy or Rare Candy XL when caught with Nice Throws or better.
