Pokémon Legends: Arceus Reviews

Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be released in just a few short days and today media outlets have been allowed to officially release their reviews of the game.

For those who haven’t quite made up their minds about buying the game, or for anyone who wants just a little more information before the game releases, we’ve compiled some reviews that highlight what type of game we can expect to be playing later this week. It goes without saying reviews are based solely upon the opinions of the person writing the review and your experience with the game may be entirely different!

GameSpot: 8/10 – Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a significant reimagining of what makes a Pokemon game, with an exciting level of flexibility that’s only slightly hampered by a slow early-game grind.

Nintendo Life: 9/10 – Pokémon Legends: Arceus feels like the truest realisation of the fantasy of Pokémon — a wonderful surprise considering this is notionally a spin-off title.

Game Informer: 8.75/10 – Pokémon Legends: Arceus charts an exciting new direction for the series, while still maintaining many of the core tenants that made Game Freak’s franchise so beloved in the first place.

Polygon: Recommended – Legends: Arceus finally gives Pokémon fans something new

VGC: 5/5 – The series’ best game in years. Game Freak has finally delivered the open-world adventure that so many fans have been asking for.

GamesRadar: 4.5/5 – a refreshing take on the Pokemon formula, stripping back the game to focus on the titular creatures with such great success. It’s just let down by the graphics.

The Sixth Axis: 9/10 – Pokémon Legends Arceus is a must-play game for fans of the franchise. Not only is it the very best Pokémon game yet, but it elegantly takes the formula and flips it on its head, creating a unique new challenge that fans will love.
