Corocoro Unveils Mythical Pokémon Silhouette (FULLY REVEALED)

This months issue of Corocoro has been partially shared online and as promised shares the very first look at a brand new mythical Pokémon, set to appear in Sword & Shield.

This new Pokémon is set to appear in the 2020 Pokémon movie Pokémon the Movie Coco, when it releases later this year. Corocoro shared this tease on a livestream over on their official YouTube channel.

No further details have been made available, but this is an exciting time and marks the return of trading new Pokemon with silhouettes.

  1. Is that only half the silhouette? Is it supposed to be a tree? If the whole thing was shown I think we’d be able to have a better guess of what it could be

  2. Ahhhh good to se the GTS is still the same useless thing it has always been lol

Everyone wants a Celebi or Jirachi for their crap mons. Deposited a Kyurem in exchange for a Zamazenta last night and it’s still there, because people offering Zamazenta only want event only Pokemon that can’t be GTS’d lol

  3. I’m not too crazy about the mobile app I already have techo-anxieties in regards to accounts, passwords, battery life, storage and subscriptions and I just have a unshakable feeling

Also the app wouldn’t recognize my password and had to change it thankfully its working now
And I know its mine because the first thing i deposited was a entire gaggle of cute little Silicobra which i am wonder boxing

But i’m still not really gonna use the mobile app unless i need to find something, Home is just my box cleaner, i wish there was a organize feature

And last little notion that made me happy, you can display your pokemon in orders and I found out that statistically my Rhyperior has the highest attack of all the pokemon i currently own right after Haxor the Haxorus and my Zacian

  4. Why does my GTS deposit have an exclamation point next to it? I can’t figure out if it means it’s been traded or what, but I can’t get it to go away

  5. things i’m still salty over:
    -losing my Eon Ticket card
-shiny locking in general, but especially for Reshiram and Zekrom back in gen 5
-Eternal Flower Floette never getting released
    -Alolan Arcanine not being real

  6. So it took me an entire day to get a Zamazenta for a Kyurem from GTS, but it took me 5 minutes to get 2 Melmetals from asking in a Facebook group.

My opinion on the GTS remains unchanged.

  7. In case it wasn’t obvious, I can confirm you don’t get any sort of unlock or prize for registering every mon in Home Pokedex. Not even a congrats lol.

  8. Greetings friends! It’s been a while. Life has been…happening…to me, as it does to people. I hope your lives have all been more exciting than that. My life is so radically different than it was when I used to frequent this lovely place, yet I’m still in the same home and surrounded by the same games and things I always have been. It’s interesting how that can happen.
I wanted to share a certain landmark goal I’ve reached as a result of Pokemon HOME’s release yesterday. MY LIVING POKEDEX IS COMPLETE!!!!!!! …Minus Zacian, and one Deoxys, and spring Deerling and Sawsbuck. There are also some other forms I didn’t get like every Vivillon form or every Gourgeist form. But who cares, MY LIVING POKEDEX IS COMPLETE!!!!!! So this is what it feels like to catch them all…if only my younger self could see me now. Bring on Kubfu, Urshifu, Calyrex, Regivolt, Regivyrn, Galarian Birds, new Mythical big-legged fellow! I’m not done yet. This is just the beginning.

  9. Might be a dumb question but…this is only half of the silhouette isn’t it? They didn’t only put half of it in the magazine just to tease us, did they?

  10. Wait a second. I can’t put any of my event Pokémon on the GTS because they’re “special”? I’ll be the one to determine whether they’re special or not! I guess I’ll be playing Sword and Omega Ruby after all.

  11. You guys are doing illegal things. And you try making this game seem as boring as humanly possible. The owner of this site, serebii, and pokecommunity should be behind steel bars.

  12. Update on Sword:

I’m currently at 298/400 on my galar dex, which is the farthest i’ve ever gotten in a game!

My Current Team is looking like:
    [G] Dreadnaw (Buckingham)
    [G] Grimmsnarl (Goyette)
    [G] Corviknight (RAFianna)
    [G] Toxtricity (Marshall)
    Eldegoss (Lily)
    Cinderance (Dele)

However, while I do want a rotating team for the Isle, I’m hoping that I can just kind of rotate things to the point where I have a whole new team at the end of the Isle. I’m hoping for:
    [G] Rillaboom (???) – Don’t Have
    [G] Charizard (Blazé) – Have
    [G] Lapras (Aquarius) – Have
    Boltund (Bolt) – Have
    Perrserker (DiTucci) – Have
Dragapult ✨ (Draco) – Have [After nearly 2K eggs]

I had initially wanted to keep Dreadnaw on the new team but that’s unfair to the rest of my Pokes. I’m hoping to also do another rotating set in the Crown Tundra and eventually have a new team by the end of that, and maybe this one with Intellion?

Also I need to get every clothing item and complete the Curry Dex, but the Curry Dex should be easy as I’m nearly done anyways. Super excited for this new mythical!

  13. My favorite moment of the Sonic movie was when they overworked a bunch of animators to redo all the effects for the main character in a few months and then fired them all after they were done.

    • If an article is to be believed the trailer with the original design was about as much as they had finished with that Sonic, so it really didn’t cost too much or delay too much to redesign and then finish the movie.

HIGHLY shitty that they were fired.

  14. Honestly I want to like Meloetta a lot more than I do but locking a physical attacker behind a special signature move and not even keeping the transformation is stupid.

  15. Kinda dumb that the SwSh boxes don’t let you search for the transfer only Pokemon by their species, always have to search by type or ability if I want to find Decidueye for example. Feels like that should be already on the game if the Pokemon were coded in already, they should at least patch that.

  16. So I was skeptical at first but I’ve grown to like the mobile app

I am enjoying wonder boxing my breedjects, and my very first Pokémon was a Heavy Ball Rhyhorn

And I discovered that you can display your Pokémon by numerical order which for those who have OCD or need organization makes everything feel better

I just wish there was a way to sort by favorites which I enjoy seeing a Ground type every time I refresh
    -Sandshrew
    -Phanpy
    -Hippopotas
    -Drilbur

  17. I really like that they stylized Sugimori arts and implemented them as Pokemon Home sprites. I like the art style of the app and the Pokedex feature seems really good. Makes you really want to fulfill it.

  20. Meh, not liking the look of this one too much. From the silhouette alone it looks like its overrun with doodads. Seems pretty in line with most of the more recent mythicals in that sense.

Here’s my extended thoughts on the topic that nobody asked for.

I hate sounding like an old “things were better back in the day” person because it’s a sentiment I generally despise, but I can’t help but feel like it applies well to my feelings on mythicals.

From gen I to gen IV, mythicals had this elegant simplicity to them, a look of mysterious grace that really sold their extremely elusive and powerful nature. They were not only rock-solid designs, they really had a coherent aesthetic going for them. Actually, I should say gen IV’s myhticals aren’t quite that simple, they’re a bit of a stepping stone for the complexity of later generations. But in effect gen 1-3’s mythicals are among the absolute best designs in the series IMO, and gen IV’s are great additions too. Arceus starts running into the trend of complicated designs, but it being the pokegod and it’s design articulating its divinity pretty well, I think it works perfectly.

But from gen V onward, to me overall we’ve just had this mush of mythicals that have generally been less striking while having more cluttered designs and often less distinctive lore attached to them, giving them a reason to exist. They’re not horrendous, and there are some exceptions, especially in the gen VII batch, but it just feels like the overall concept has lost it’s magic since gen V and I no longer really look forward to new ones.
