Official English sources have now officially revealed Galarian Ponyta.
The Pokémon—exclusive to Pokémon Shield version—is a Psychic-type and known as the Unique Horn Pokémon. It has a new ability known as Pastel Veil the prevents the Pokémon and its allies from becoming poisoned and the additional effect of curing poisoned allies when it enters the battle field.
It is said that Galarian Ponyta have been found in a mysterious forest since ancient times and that they gained their unique appearance after absorbing the forest’s life energy over many generations. Galarian Ponyta can absorb and store the life energy of the surrounding atmosphere and if there is a lot of energy around, their mane will become more colourful and even emit a sparkling glow.
