After several leaks online, the next series of the Pokémon anime has finally been fully unveiled as Pocket Monsters (ポケットモンスター).
The new anime will start airing on November 17th and will feature Ash and a new character named Gou (ゴウ). A teaser for the anime was released and can be watched below.
The official synopsis of the series reads:
Pocket Monsters, Pokémon for short. These mysterious creatures are the stars of this [show]. They can be found in the sky, in the sea, in forests, and in cities. Everywhere in the world.
This is the story of Ash, who aims to be the strongest Pokémon Trainer and Gou who dreams of catching every Pokémon. In addition Ash’s partner Pokémon Pikachu and Go’s partner Scorbunny, there are countless other Pokémon found throughout their adventure in the Pokémon world.
Let’s go to the world of Pokémon, filled with dreams and adventures!”
Gou is a 10-year-old boy who has the dream of finding the mysterious Pokémon “Mew” he met when he was young and to catch every Pokémon. He is calm, but has a heart that burns with passion. His Scorbunny is said to be good at attacks that use kicks, and the two of them have been through a lot together after they met.
