Giratina, the ferocious Ghost and Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon, will be returning soon to Raids in Pokémon GO. If you missed the original release of its Altered Forme, the one with legs, it will be available to catch for a weekend, but then the Origin Forme will be appearing for almost the entirety of April. The official details are as follows:
You did your team leaders proud back when you battled Giratina in its Altered Forme. However, there are still many mysteries to be unlocked about the Renegade Pokémon. Giratina has reemerged from the Distortion World to renew and transform. Starting March 28, Altered Forme Giratina will return to raids until April 2, when it will transform into Origin Forme to keep testing Trainers’ strength until April 29.

What’s the biggest difference between the Altered and (soon to be released) Origin Forme? Their offenses and defenses are swapped. Since Legendary Pokémon cannot be put in gyms, but can be used to take them down, the Attack-based Origin Forme will probably be the preferred Giratina by competitive players.
