Nintendo Patents Way to Make Digital Cards “Holographic”

Pokémon Switch

  • Pokémon Switch was still given the official release timeframe of “2018 or later” at the Nintendo Investor meeting earlier this week

Official Zeraora Reveal

  • Zeraora’s signature move, Plasma Fists, has been officially revealed by TPCi through a surprise video on YouTube! In addition, a Special Battle Video code has been released allowing you to watch a battle against Zeraora and later have a mock battle

Year of Legendary Pokémon Event

  • Promotional materials at GameStop have been put up early confirming the distribution details for the upcoming Yveltal (Sun/Ultra Sun) and Xerneas (Moon/Ultra Moon) event! For those in the US you’ll be able to get your hands on your game’s corresponding legendary through GameStop from May 4th until May 27th! As of now, no details have been revealed for other regions

Pokkén Tournament DX

  • From May 4th through the 6th you can participate in the “Sonic Slash” Group Match! Participation will reward you with a special title based on Weavile, gaining more the higher you place

Pokémon GO

  • New Field Research focusing on Electric and Flying-type Pokémon will rotate in on May 1st! All but confirming that Moltres will be replaced by Zapdos as the “Research Breakthrough”

Pokémon Duel

  • Requiring 247MB, Version 6.0.3 of Pokémon Duel is now available for download! This update mainly fixes bugs such the effects of Night Slash and Zap Cannon not being triggered, and various Mega Evolution related fixes
  • This coming Tuesday, Pokémon Duel will be updated to Version 6.0.4 – this update will include several updates to figures:
    • Tapu Bulu – Increase damage for Full Swing from 110 to 120
    • Terrakion  Increase wheel size and damage for Stone Edge from 120 to 130, Decrease wheel size for Protect
    • Aggron – Change the effect of the Territoriality ability, Increase wheel size and damage for Iron Tail from 120 to 140, Increase damage of Heavy Slam from 50 to 90 Removed Roar, Add Brutal Swing
    • Rayquaza & Shiny Rayquaza – Increase wheel size of Extreme Speed, Decrease wheel size of Break Energy & Fly
    • Tyranitar – Remove Crunch, Add Dragon Tail
    • Pupitar – Add the Beat Down ability

Pokémon Shuffle

  • A Pokémon Safari featuring Oddish, Gloom,Vileplume, Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, Tauros, Bounsweet, Steenee, & Tsareena will be available until May 8th
  • The following stages are all available until May 1st as part of the 11th Week of Pokémon Shuffle’s event cycle:
    • The Ultra Challenge Stage against Zygarde Complete Form
    • The Great Challenge Stages consist of Blissey (Winking), Cradily, Chimchar (Winking), Manaphy, & Talonflame
    • This week’s Daily Pokémon stages are Oricorio Sensu Style, Oricorio Baile Style, Pyukumuku, Mudbray, & Dartrix
    • The One Chance Per Day stage features Female Frillish
    • There’s a Competitive Stage against Mega Alakazam
