  1. This I’m seriously excited for. I’ve played the older version of Crystal, but never G/S. Anyways, speaking on US/UM; I feel more coming at E3. Entirely running on EuroGamer’s creditability and streak of being correct; I fully believe these games might see an additional release on the Switch. It looks like the 3DS is struggling to run it. Yet, somehow, it stays beautiful.

  2. What’s funny is, to this day, I still have my Gold copy since 17 years ago. But I’ll play the VC version ’cause wynaut.

  3. I literally cannot express how much I sobbed when this came without warning at the end of the Direct. These two games were my childhood. Gen II has been, and always will be, my favorite games in the series.
This does beg the question though….Why is Crystal not included?

It is known that Crystal had the Celebi/GS Ball event that was never officially released…..

Could this potentially mean they may release Crystal at some point, with a GS Ball event download?! COULD WE ACTUALLY SR FOR A LEGITIMATE SHINY CELEBI FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF THE FRANCHISE?!?!

  4. I don’t care what anyone says, this Direct has me hyped even more than the Sun and Moon reveal. Pokken Tournament DX is a day one purchase, Gold and Silver will be played a lot by me for shiny hunting, and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will get MUCH more playtime than the previous ones (probably). I just think this deserves lots of positivity.

  6. Man……I really hope USUM are worth buying…….I’ve never really liked the idea of 3rd version as I’d hoped refer a brand new story. They can call it an alternative history, but if it’s just reg SM with Necrozma being shoehorned in then that’s kind of disappointing. Them adding walking Pokemon or more mons to the Dex isn’t really enough for me to get crazy excited. Which is sad for me. If they were just gonna do SM again with only minor changes then it should have just been on the Switch. At least that way there’s SOME value in playing again……..*sigh*….I guess at this point it’s too early to tell tho. Maybe something will strike me as super cool about the new games

  7. Oh no… What if we’ll have pikachu as the starter? In one shot we can see one of the protagonists with the three starters near him. What if his the rival (like May in RS) and he took all of the starters before you arrived in the region? And you’ll have to take a pikachu (or maybe a pichu) ? They show a lot of pikachu in this trailer, that could be on purpose… Maybe in one version you start with a pikachu (that can evolve) and in the other one with a Rockruff?

  8. Theory:

Ultra-Lunala is Ice-type, and Ultra-Solgaleo us Fire-type. Reasoning is Necrozma unleashed their elements from then or some bs

Mostly because holy fuck Ultra-Lunala looks like it’s made of Ice

  9. Not pokemon related, but the E3 spotlight is only a half hour long, and that’s like 15-18 minutes less than usual. :/

    • I think it’s kind of understandable? Arms is coming out before or around E3 iirc so it probably won’t get much focus if any, Spla2n will probably get focus, and at this stage with USUM I think we’ll just get some into but not that much

      • But this is a very, very imporant E3 for Nintendo. They have Odyssey, FE Warriors, and Xenoblade 2 to cover at the minimum. Covering those alone will take like 20 minutes, and that doesn’t leave much room for whatever I’m forgetting and new announcements. I could be wrong and they could cram in a bunch of stuff, but 30 minutes sounds way too short. If anything I would think it would be longer.

        • Tru, I just hope they won’t try and stick too much in then :/

Forgot about half of those 😮

          • Plus they said they’re focusing on Odyssey, so presumably they’re going to dedicate a lot of time to that. They’re cutting it close, that’s for sure.

          • Not to mention Mario+Rabbids, I forgot about that. That leaves room for like 1 teaser announcement. :/

          • If that gets precedence over Pokémon I’ll be so fucking

            mildly annoyed

They might show some things in the Tree house (or whatever it is) stream after tho?

          • That’s a possibility, like USUM stuff or other 3DS announcements, but most of the major stuff will be in the spotlight.

          • Wouldn’t be surprised if USUM is in tree house now that I think of it, we’ve already seen game play of it and at this point I doubt we’ll get any super big news except details on the new Lunala and Solgaleo ‘forms’

  10. So what starter are y’all getting for Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon and Gold/Silver?

For USUM, I’m getting Litten because I’m curious to see how it’s like using one in-game, I’ve already used Rowlet and Popplio before, so it should be interesting using Litten.

Also, for GS, I’m thinking doing Totodile because Feraligatr was the starter I had 17 years ago when I played my Gold copy.

  11. Damn this is going to be a great year for us. It’s already had a great start with the Switch and BOTW, plus many more Switch games are on the horizon. On top of that, we now have Pokemon games too in November, as well as GS VC games to anticipate in September.
