  1. Honestly I kinda wish they were going out of order/at least adding the evolutions for pokemon that get them in gen 4. I don’t want to wait forever to get Honchkrow..

  3. Hopefully this means more gens will be coming soon… I don’t like that many Johto pokemon, only the legendaries, starters, misdrevus, crobat, the mareep line, natu, slugma, skarmory and the swinub line.

  4. Excitement ? Hopefully they’ll updates locations of current players like they did with users of their original location based game with the name I can’t remember.

  5. I’m ready for Azumarill. But it’d probably suck thanks to lack of Huge Power.

More likely it’s time for another pseudo-legendary to defeat Dragonite in gyms. Also more dark types. Arceus knows this game needs at least one.

  8. Confirmed that Lillie is Lusamine’s daughter and Gladion’s brother. The Pokemon in her bag is indeed Cosmog, and it evolves into Lunala in Moon and is vital to the main plot, because its an Ultra Beast that has the ability to create those wormholes the UBs spawn from

  9. Avoiding story spoilers, but can someone get me up to speed on any Pokémon spoilers we’ve missed?

I see people talking about Starter Hidden abilities 😮

    • I like it and all but I dunno if that will save it
With all the set up and its overall moveset, Decidueye looks MILES ahead of anything else

      Reply
        • But here’s the problem
No knock off, sucker punch, and Fire/Dark is a TERRIBLE defensive typing! A majority of its weaknesses are special!

          Reply
          • But Incineroar can learn Swords Dance and Bulk Up. Combine these with Flare Blitz and one of Outrage/Thrash and you have a massive threat facing.

          • True, I might go for Popplio now. Still picking Rowlet in Sun because I ALWAYS choose the Grass starter on the first playthrough. But I’m getting both games so perhaps Popplio in Moon.

          • Same could be said for Decidueye

Weak to Knock Off, sucker punch, pursuit, has subpar abilities, Slow and not bulky enough

          • That is true… The thing giving Decidueye more of a chance is that it seems to have some sort of utility

  10. Well they couldn’t even give Incineroar a decent stat build
Why even fucking bother with this at this point
Absolute shit move pool and nothing to give it any sort of hook or angle

    • TBF I’d be terrified what some moves would be like with a water – ate ability

      Now I’m wondering how – ates affect Z-Moves 😡

  11. So, Primarina is a bulkier, slower Gardevoir with water soundbased pixilate, Incineroar is tecnically a swampert with intimidate, and Decidueye is just meh with really meh ability.

  12. Starters hidden abilities
Decidueye – Long Reach: The Pokemon uses its move, without making contact with the target
    Incineroar – Intimidate
Primarina – Liquid Voice: Sound-based moves become Water type

  13. So these starters are just seriously shit.

Incineroar doesn’t even have the Bulk to abuse Intimidate.
How important is it for Decidueye to not make contact anyway.
And Liquid Voice. Does it at least give them a boost like the -ate abilities.

  14. Is no one going to speak about the Leech Life buff!? Fudge that’s excessive

    And Litten gets it!

Calling it, UB-02 will have Drain Punch and Leech Life and will have an ability which is basically a built in Big Root

  15. Y’know what is really funny?
A complaint for Incineroar: No sucker punch
A complaint for Primarina: No recovery

…Yet for some reason Decidueye gets both

        • Decidueye has no usable ability actually and its bulk with 78/75/100 is really unuseful for a grass/ghost type. Too many moves that can destroy it outthere….

          Reply
          • Honestly it’ll be fine. Its hidden ability actually does work well for it given it has access to brave bird, sucker punch, u-turn and leaf-blade. Its slow, but it still has that sucker punch for priority. It has access to roost and sub so It can be used as a stall wall, and even then it’ll probably find some good use in being doubles support.

Honestly I almost see it as a M-Kang in it’s current state. A mon that on its own is pretty good, but people can quickly point out its flaws. However with the right setup it’ll become a serious threat given it has some good damage and a move that prevents you from switching out, meaning that follow me /wideguard/fake out or anything else that could help buy it some time to lock down your opponents team will see some use with it.

          • No, not at all. People forget this, but M-Kang wasn’t seen as all that great in VGC 2014. While it had some good bulk to it, it was still reasonably easy to 2-shot, making it kinda worthless as your mega. It could certainly do some damage, but the moment it was on the field, it was the main target of your opponent, making it kind of bad. That changed with 2015 and giving it access Lando-T. Having an intimidate user on the field lead with it made it much harder to kill, and more importantly made your opponent really have to consider which one was the bigger threat to you. This was only made better for M-Kang once Primals were legal in 2016.

My point simply is that it has a good chance in doubles if you can find something that’s a bigger threat to your opponent then locking them into battle and doing some decent damage. Deci might do well paired with one of the Tapu’s and their reasonable threats. But at this point it depends on how much the meta’s changed. This seems to be the generation of favoring bulk over speed, so who know’s what’s going to happen.

  16. I want to know about the new Pokémon and dex, but I really don’t want story spoilers.
So Could people please tag the story spoilers, thanks.

  17. Interesting note about Ultra Beasts

    (spoilers!)

They function nearly identical to normal Pokémon it appears, being able to evolve (Seen by Comsog), have typings and abilities (Seen by Cosmog, Solgaleo and Lunala) and do have real names (Cosmog, Solgaleo, Lunala, Niheligo

  18. Spoilers for the story, Ultra Beasts and Legends!

Origins of Ultra Beasts seem quite simple. So far they’ve all been combinations of two words.

    Cosmog-Cosmo/Cosmic and Smog
    Solgaleo-Sol and Leo
    Lunala-Luna and ‘Aala’, meaning ‘Wing’
UB-01/Nihilego-‘Nihilism’ (the rejection of all religious and moral principles, often in the belief that life is meaningless) or ‘Annihilation’ (complete destruction) and Ego, both of which describe Lusamine’s state of mind by the end of the game.

  19. The cutscene where UB-02 and Tapu Koko face off was caused by Lusamine who opened a wormhole with Cosmog in the Aether Paradise

  20. I have a request for those talking about spoilers, can you mention if it’s a story spoiler or not before you hide the spoiler please?
I know this might seem like an odd request but I like seeing the names and typing of pokemon, but I don’t wanna know much more about the story. If you’d be so kind.

  21. I think a few people are upset by how many Ghost/Grass and Water/Bug we got but hey! This means GF is trying to not just introduce more typings, but give us choices with those typings. Looking forward to see how this plays out in future gens
