    • You’re looking at the wrong part of the internet. Search ‘Primarina Vore’ and you’ll find more than what you’re comfortable with. Especially if you look on DeviantArt.

      Rule 34 is as strong as ever.

      That said I’m pretty sure neither mermaids nor melusines actually ate humans, they just killed them for the fun of it.

  2. Speaking of CN cartoons. Here’s one of the pilots they put out this year on YouTube. Obvious inspiration from what’s been popular the past few years, but with AT coming to an end and Gravity Falls over, a show like this definitely could fill the hole that will soon sit empty.

      The inspirations are pretty blatent though.
      It’s like a Gravity Falls and Adventure Time fusion, and the robot is clearly inspired by Marvin.

      • Also important to note that it’s an animation pilot. Meaning if it were to get picked up, final product would change a bit, it would likely find more of its own voice during that process.

        • I’m not a fan of the humour, but the plot certainly seems interesting, assuming they’ve actually got something tangible in mind for what’s going on and it isn’t mysteriousness for the sake of mysteriousness like certain other shows have been. Gravity Falls got it right in that respect, there was a definite plot and a definite ending, even if it seemed like it was over a bit too soon.

          No idea how Adventure Time panned out, I only ever watched about 25 episodes, but I’m aware that they added a bit of backstory with the Mushroom War.

          • Just depends on that show, imo. AT is more of a sandbox for writers and artists to explore and play with as they best see fit. Gravity Falls was telling a specific story. Steven Universe is telling a specific story. Regular Show was a sandbox type show. With the right people both styles work.

          • I prefer interpersing plot-based episodes with problem-of-the-week episodes and maybe putting a nod to the overall arc in the standalone episodes. The last standalone series I really liked was Billy and Mandy, and maybe Chowder, but Billy and Mandy had a sense of progression in some cases because they’d refer back to previous events from time to time.

            Also I just found out Adventure Time actually had an episode called ‘Dungeon Train’, and it looks like they’ve taken a heck of a lot from it. Doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be a bad series, but it means they’d need to put a lot of effort in to stop the series being too close for comfort.

          • No, I meant the voice, it is indeed the same VA as Gretchen and aparently Ellie from The Last Of Us.

            I think she must get typecast a bit because she also voiced Gwen Tennyson in Ben10: Ultimate Alien.

          • Boom. Thank you. I think that’s where I knew her voice from more than anything else. Just couldn’t put my finger on it. I can tell you the artists of countless comics from just their sketches but I struggle with a lot of VAs haha

            I’m more of a manga person, though I haven’t bought any in ages.
            I’m generally quite good with voices, slightly more than I am with faces.

          • Yea Ben 10. That show should have tried harder to have more consistent canon and rules to the universe but it was a damn good idea for a show.

            Just now starting to get into manga. Starting with my favorite anime: Death Note.

          • I liked the original series, but the later series gradually stopped being good. They did alright by adding to the lore, but the highbreed arc seemed to drag on for ages and then they got confused about what they wanted to do next.

            Never seen Death Note, it’s somewhere on my ever-growing list of things I need to watch.

            There was a game that had a similar premise to Ben 10. I think it was called Kameo or something. I only ever played a demo of it once, but it was pretty good.

          • Also, in case you’re worried, I also know Marvin is the robot from Hitchhiker’s Guide lol I had a camp counselor as a child who read excerpts of the book to us at night.

          • I could understand having never encountered Marvin, I only saw the film a few years ago.

            Sidenote: I’ve never had a counsellor or been to camp.

          • I’ve lived a comfortable and privileged life tbh. I went to week long camps several summers in a row as a kid.

          • I’m not even we have a concept of ‘summer camp’ here in Britain. At least I’ve never heard of anyone mention anything equivalent.

    • This looks pretty good, but have you ever seen the pilot for Back to Backspace? Makes me sad that CN won’t pick up a pilot like that, yet they air crap like Mighty Magiswords and Clarence. SU, Regular Show, and We Bare Bears are the only things on CN I really like right now. Hopefully this one can come through.

    There’s a special Sun and Moon launch event on November 22nd at Old Truman Brewery from 5pm to 10pm (tickets available via partners) with a special distribution for a lv5 Mew for the Virtual Console games. This Mew can later be sent to Sun and Moon in January.

  8. I don’t know if anyone has was interested in it is online right now, but if any of you see this, remember that tourney thing I was writing? Decided to change it up a bit by making it an all 3v3 round robin (so everyone can fight everyone) and let you all vote for who you want to win! 😀

    Sadly, this means that everyone who applied with their teams will have to reapply (and I’m removing my character from it in order to make it fair in case you guys vote for me to make the choice) and if the reapplication process leads to an odd number of applicants, I’ll have to remove one or wait for another applicant to even begin writing. Sorry for being a pain guys, but I feel that this is the way to make the most amount of people happy whilst also not ruining the surprise of people reading!

    There’s also two templates, for your trainer and three Pokémon. There’s also a few rules 😡

    1) Only one Gen VI Pokémon (minimises guesswork)
    2) No legendaries or mythicals (includes Silvally as for all we know only one or two were ever produced)
    3) For the luls, it’s a monotype tournament! However, types are allowed to be repeated.

    What I find the most interesting is that the protagonist has battled a bit with the Indigo League, which is Kanto’s League system.

    i’ve already played Paper Mario to completion, Pikmin, Luigi’s mansion 1 and half of 2, Zelda oot 3D and now Animal crossing NL
