Friendly reminder that registrations are now open for the Battle of Hoenn tournament. Only Pokémon found within Hoenn’s regional Pokédex, with the exception of Groudon, Kyogre, Deoxys and Jirachi, are able to be used. This is an interesting stipulation and should be a fun chance to see how the competitive scene is shaken up when many of the OU Pokémon have been taken out. The registration period is open until Thursday, January 22nd and the battles will begin right away on Friday, January 23rd. All matches are 3 on 3 singles.
Although I usually don’t participate competitively, I will be taking part in this competition. I look forward to battling some of you!

Well. I was thinking about GameFreak’s next move to a Pokémon Game. Dicie’s last post had me thinking. I believe we might get another Kalos remake with a different story. Pokémon Z would really fix all the problems with Kalos and add a bit more.
There is also the possibility of a sequel to Kalos. Lysandre’s death was never completely explain. Yet, I feel like Kalos answered a lot of the questions that were in the game. Still, the possibility is there. (Pokémon X2 and Y2 or XZ and YZ)
My last idea was a remake of Kanto. Kanto games are the only ones unplayable on the DS* (If you do not count HG/SS after-game.). Also, the could add a lot of new Mega Evolutions and improve the story line. It’s not my most desired choice; yet there are possibilities. (Pokémon Blazing Red #4/20 and Pokémon Seedling Green)
the problem in that is that Z 100% is confirmed to never happen as stated per Junichi himself. Junichi said he isnt going to follow the expected.

This alongside the fact we didnt really have a good spinoff (ranger,pmd, etc) come to the 3ds for 6th gen yet so now would be great to either make a red/blue rescue team remake or a new pmd game

So I know this is off topic but i need help. Should i go ahead and get the N3DS or spend money on geting majora’s mask 3d?? I can’t get both. 🙁
It’s not worth getting the game without the features of the new 3ds, but it’s your call.
Why is that?
I’m not a Zelda fan, does Majora’s Mask on the N3DS have any advantages compared to the 3DS, if not, buy the game and wait for a price drop
I believe only the improvements the N3DS gives to any 3ds game (the face-position recognition feature, optimization, etc.) apply to MM3D. The c-stick only serves to move around the camera, which probably wouldn’t help all that much.
Just get Majora’s Mask. The N3DS is just helps with camera movement (c stick), better 3D stability and faster load times. You can wait on it.

You need to pick one song to be the main show and edit the other song into repeating bits that match with parts of the main song.

Such as in this, they chose to have soft collision as the main song and cut up that daft punk song into bits and shower it all over parts of the song that they match with.
The point is, don’t have two songs continuously running at the same time.
Choose either game corner or harder better faster stronger to be the main song and put matching bits of the other all over to make it harmonize.

Guys My internal Battery life died on my Emerald, I can still find the shinies but it is supposed to be EXTREMELY hard, should I continue this Hunt?

Two ways you can look at it:
-You can comply with the fact that you just wasted however much time trying to find a shiny but haven’t.
or
-You don’t want to have wasted any of your time, so you might as well keep hunting until you find it.
This is why I started with the earlier games, because I knew that the odds were ridiculous in X/Y (and later ORAS). I’m used to long hunts, whereas I see people crying because they haven’t found a shiny in 500 SR’s. That’s like, 4 hours of hunting. Give me a break, some of my hunts have lasted months!
The point is, if you want to hunt in Gen II-V, you better be fairly patient. It’s not really harder, it’s just that there’s a higher chance that it’ll take longer.

Nintendo announced they’re discontinuing club nintendo. They’re replacing it with something else they didn’t go into detail on. I’m guessing they’re switching to all digital rewards. And they said in February they’re adding a bunch of physical rewards so people can get rid of their points. I wonder if there will be Platinum and Gold rewards this year? :/

“Following the reveal last week, there was some confusion due to the information provided by the Pokémon Global Link website which listed the Tyrunt to have the Rock Head ability. This was contrary to the information extracted from the games which stated that the ability distributed was Sturdy. However, they have now posted a retraction and correction on the Global Link confirming the full details of the Tyrunt. The Tyrunt is Level 10 with its Hidden Ability of Sturdy with the moves Tail Whip, Tackle, Roar and Stomp. It is distributed on January 30th if you entered 3 battles in the Battle of Hoenn”

Hey guys, so sad news. Club Nintendo is going to be taken down on june 23rd 2015. But it WILL be replaced by another system that is currently in the works. All with a club nintendo account will receive a download code for flipnote 3D(finally). But it’s not that great as the N3DS(XL) comes with it pre-installed.
Yeah but some of us either don’t have the money or don’t want to spend ~$200 on another 3ds system when the one we have works perfectly fine…
Also I never really understood how people got stuff from Club Nintendo, did you have to give them your address/P.O. box or something to send it to? Digital stuff I can see, I got a free copy of Y from it. Hopefully more stuff like that comes around so I can get free games 😛

Because there’s the possibility it won’t last long anyway and you waited one to three turns setting up on something that could’ve been taken out easily. Stealth Rocks are more useful.

Tbh, I don’t want a FR/LG remake just yet.. I want to go back to a region tailor made to be a 3D region. ORAS was beautiful but it felt like a pop-up region unlike Kalos, which felt like an actual 3D game (if that makes any sense) but if we do get remakes next year (I really doubt we’ll get Pokemon games this year), I won’t complain. I’d love to hear the Kanto music remade, so.. *flies away*
I don’t want to seem like I’m eagerly awaiting a gen 7 announcement, because I’m not, but I’ve been thinking about something that I hope will one day be introduced. A branched evolution. One evolution through friendship, while the other with frustration. Since it’s almost impossible to have max frustration, it would just need to be in the higher levels. And it could belong to an evil team leader. Anyway, I haven’t had time to get online recently, because of a ton of schoolwork, but most of that has been completed. 😀

I have a feeling Pokemon Red & Green 20th Aniv Editions will be revealed around July/August (maybe even at E3), with a release date of February 27, 2016.
We know 2015 won’t bring us any new main games because the movie would be made to promote them – but this years movie is only going to further promote ORAS and Hoopa’s new form.

– Possible Looker in the S. S. Anne (trailing team rocket – explains how he washed ashore in Hoenn with a lost memory)
– Memory Girl in Lavender Town
– Lt. Surge trades us a French Pikachu (has he been to Kalos?) and also references a “War” a lot
– The girl by Mt. Moon that references Munna, LONG before gen 5 came to fruition.
– They can place a Moon Dial in Mt. Moon (and every monday night, clefairy can be found dancing around the moon dial)… could also retcon Mt. Moon to have been formed from crashing fragments of the meteor that rayquaza destroyed
– Machop stomping the land in Vermillion for a new building (Battle Maison?)
– Post game Episode on Mewtwo and why it has two mega evolutions
– Lance with a Mega Dragonite
– Volcanion destroys Cinnabar Island, causing Blaine to move his gym.
