Mega Rayquaza has been confirmed in the ongoing stream for Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire on niconico and in an all-new trailer for the games.
Mega Rayquaza will gain the ability Delta Stream. This Ability protects all Flying Type Pokémon, halving their flying type weaknesses(such as electric, ice, rock). Delta Stream will also cancel the effects of any abilities that introduce weather to the battle, thanks to the new Strong Winds weather condition it introduces. Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Sandstorm, and Hail will fail if Strong Winds is active.
Mega Rayquaza also gains an exclusive new move: Dragon Ascent. The move has one of the highest power ratings of all Flying-type moves. Dragon Ascent is not only powerful, but looks amazing.
Almost all of Rayquaza’s stats receive a boost when the Pokémon Mega Evolves.
Can’t wait to mega evolve this:

I heard about that. I want to see it. I’m curious.
I just got home, but wow… so majestic.
I was in class looking at bulbapedia page since all the others were blocked, and then I saw “Mega Rayquaza” with Delta Stream (images won’t load). I had no idea what that was about.
And now, wow…
Dragon Descend is a good name, and its animation is epic, but it’s not a Dragon type? lol
It’s understandable that Rayquaza gets Delta Stream instead of Aerialate, that monster does not need any more power.
Hello, just got home but wow… so majestic.
Erm… you did it wrong.
Close enough
Hey NL can u tell us ur backstory?
I don’t have one?
So ur back doesn’t have a story

Tomorrow is the day that we lose our mentality in favor of Smash. It was nice knowing all of you! 😛
Fight me tomorrow
Not until I play 120 matches and get a feel for all the characters.
So you won’t fight me tomorrow 🙁
I can probably make an arrangement 😉

Tomorrow is the day I leave Pokejungle and go to smashjungle.
Ofc when I am looking for Super Training bags Level 1 I can’t find any
I want to see shiny Mega Rayquaza now.
I hope it will remain black.
Original colors: green primary, black parts, yellow “beard”.
Shiny colors: black primary, white parts, red “beard”.
I found 3 Large Bags I just want a small!
I just realized Mega Rayquaza’s head is in the shape of the delta symbol Δ

Dad. Your still the real MVP. <3
IT LOOKS LIKE A FOUNTAIN PEN TO ME
Spooky.
Need I say that this is one of the most amazingly designed Mega Evolutions ever for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
I am a huge fan of its delta-like head, which was definitely expected in the first place. Its new move and ability sounds SO kickass, which will definitely make it one of the most sought-after Mega evolutions. I’m also a huge fan of the black portions of its body.
However, those orange circle-like things floating from its body kinda get in the way of its overall figure, and make it seem less mean and ferocious.
Nonetheless, this is by far my favorite Mega Evolution in ORAS and I’m excited to see just how differently it will Mega Evolve. 🙂
It’s supposed to be a sky god like creature.
I understand that.
I’m just not a fan of those circle things.
Do any of you have Lure Ball Barboach?
hOLY chiZ I have to get my hands on one of those 0_0
:I
Well when you get one can I have on of the offspring?
yeah
Hey afarr do you still have the image of the 3 blank boxes after rayquaza?
You want the ones with May? Those three are after Roxanne!
This song will sum up the general feeling of tomorrow:

The more I look at mega Rayquaza, the more I love it. It’s perfect.
This comment is it.
It’s so beautiful and soo chinese-dragonish.
Hands down one of the top 5 mega designs of all time.
It’s in my opinion, the best designed mega. The combination of intimidation but elegance and royalty…. Amazing.
Predominantly the whole community crowned it the best mega design XD fanboys loving it over at gamefaqs
I mean, it honestly just really exceeded my expectations. xD
Now imagine Mega Milotic.
*dead*
It’s only a matter of time. ;-;
If this is what they can do with a serpentine-built Pokemon then whooo LAWDY
Does this make Mega Rayquaza the most bad-ass and most powerful legendary?
It’s certainly the best Halo Energy Sword x Christmas Tree x Rayquaza combination I have ever seen.
I just can’t wait to see it shiny. 😉
😉
I’m already ready with a Nobunaga’s black Ray just for this occasion!
I’m seriously getting weak thinking about it.
my knees can’t take.
It’s going to be…wait for it…
Purple.
I hope your Third Eye is lying.
Nope sorry, Barney tipped me off this morning. 😛
I actually wouldn’t mind that LOL. A lot of ppl would say it’s ugly though.
