Pokémon the Series XY is now available for fans to purchase from iTunes in the United States and UK.
The latest series of the Pokémon anime has been made available to purchase in two separate volumes: Volume One containing the first 12 episodes, and Volume 2 featuring a further 11. These volumes can purchased in High Definition for $21.99/£19.99, or Standard Definition for $19.99/£18.99.
Customers can also choose to purchase episodes separately at a slightly higher price of $2.99/£2.49 for HD, or in SD for $1.99/£1.89.

I stopped watching the anime after Hoenn because I reckon that Pokemon should just finish off Ash’s story and do Pokemon animes for the newest games similar to Pokemon origins and Mega evolution act 1 and 2 because those seem like proper anime material to me and I’ll probably stay off the Pokemon anime until something this happens. I still watch the movies when they come out but my latest favourite was Lucario and the mystery of Mew and that was a long time ago.
Yay! I’ve been wanting the anime to be available on iTunes for a good while now… but I want the first couple of seasons too… I don’t watch the anime often, I mainly watched it as a kid, but I miss the episodes with misty and may. I have the app, but I want the beginning episodes too.
P.S. And who knows, maybe they might do the same thing they did with the soundtracks, they’ll just release them backwards.

I believe there will be Z, with no new pokemon, taken place a year before, in the German/French region (it would split into 2), with new megas, and older team flare with Malva at the helm.
I may sound like a jerk for saying this, but I don’t want anymore Megas for quite some time after ORAS. It’s like the legendary scenario. In the beginning, it was amazing that only a select few could obtain it. It made them feel unique. However, GF is pulling an Oprah Winfrey and giving almost everyone Megas now, therefore, not making it feel special.
I agree some didn’t need it for example gengar no levitate yeah not as good tbh. But I want UU pokemon to get some love and power.
I really love Mega Evolutions, but I don’t like how it’s become the new NonEevee Cross Gen Evolution. :'(

I was honestly thinking about skipping the XY Anime. However, I fell for the “Serena knew Ash when they were little kids” trap.
I was thinking about skipping it too but I see they’re trying a lot harder this season with personalities, storylines, and animations. I was getting reaaalllll sick of them reusing attacking moves, even when the direction the animation is going towards didnt match up where the opponent really was. [like dragonite thunderpunching down when an opponent is in the air and it still landing]

You know what’s even more aggravating? When they use the same animation! EX; Dragonite uses Thunder-Punch and they use the correct background with amazing details. When Dragonite uses Thunder-Punch again, the background is colored and the animation is the same! They’ve been doing that since Kanto and it’s gotten really old! THANK GOD X AND Y STOPPED USING COLORED BACKGROUNDS! Sometimes it’s okay when you use it once for effects (although X and Y has not used it once in battles, only when Ash captures a Pokemon or he earns a badge) but not all the freaking time! THANK YOU X AND Y.

I finished with that book already. I hate having tasks to do that linger on my mind.
X and Y’s animation is impeccable yet stays quite simple, allowing for a larger scope of comprehension during battles unlike other over-the-top anime’s whose animation get’s you dizzy. The anime’s second strong point is it’s plot; not needing a main antagonist to make the show interesting although I do believe they will need it at some point. (Although Black and White tried this, the execution was poor). An anime does not always need an antagonist to move the story forward as it get’s stale after certain points; save the antagonists later. This is the only Pokemon anime to finally feature arcs, another deviation from it’s norm. Character development is average to poor for each main character; Ash receiving more development than the other three, Clemont and Bonnie received amazing development, and Serena is a late bloomer (I hope). Memorable episodes and COTD’s; Sylveon trainer, Frogadier’s trainer, and much more! Other support characters such as Diantha, the gym leaders, Elite Four, Professor Sycamore, and Guru are all vital instruments in the orchestra and their personalities shine through. Unlike the games and other past Pokemon anime series, X and Y takes time to develop each Gym Leader, Elite Four, and Champion meticulously. So far, the most memorable episode for me is the Malamar one and I do hope he/she returns!
Overall, I would give the series “A” for trying and “A” for execution thus far.

Nowadays, you can use an HM whenever you want. You still need to get the HM though, but if you were given a pokemon that knows Surf in a trade, you can literally use it in the beginning.

I stopped carrying about the anime after gen 3. And gen 5 made it unbearable. I still watch the gym battles though or if there’s a Pokemon I wanna see.
I actually liked the gen 4 anime a lot. The gen 5 anime was annoying bc it took so many steps back in terms of character development. I’m really enjoying the gen 6 anime tho bc I think it’s making good strides in all the right places. This includes taking out those dumb colored backgrounds when Pokemon attack, giving battles more dynamic cameras shots, adding those challenge cards in the beginning of battles, and giving Ash his character development back and then some. I become much less angry this season when he uses his pokedex bc it’s usually on a Pokemon he hasn’t seen at all or a Pokemon he hasn’t seen in a long while which makes it acceptable for him to re-check the dex lol
Yeah I agree the battles look way more intense and realistic with the camera angels. This anime is way better than last gen. But, I don’t think they can ever duplicate the success of first and 2nd gen anime.

There’s no real origin for the name except for what I came up with. It’s supposed to be influenced by Latin (the ae and the us), I wanted something with three syllables and the triple D gives it a strong pronunciation.
It’s supposed to be a noble warriors name, instilling fear in those who are unlucky to hear the name spoken aloud.

After watching the gameplay trailer for ORAS over again, I noticed something. In the Magma and Aqua hideouts, the doors that are shown are more different than you would think. In the Aqua hideout, it looks like the door ahead leads outside somewhere because there appears to be light coming through. In the magma one, it’s black like any indoor environment in pokemon. I don’t recall any door in the Lilycove hideout that lead outside. So I’m guessing the Lilycove hideout with be completely different depending on what team you’re fighting. Or maybe this hideout is in a new location entirely. Just something small I thought I might share :3

i was thinking about smash 4 with me Old Chaps last night…. we all agree that No new pokemon will be introduce into this game…. we thought how Jigglypuff can come back and woop class with her new moveset of Fairy type moves…. but if we did get one more we thought of Sceptile but we said nah because if the roster was made before greninja was even announced in X/Y….Then we Said Genesect which also went out the door quickly…. there really inst anyone u can put in smash thats not Jigglypuff or Mewtwo right now…. i rather save Sceptile for the next game because u know i don’t want half the pokemon have transformation finals
But that would be awesome! Mega is now stuck in the game with some of the most known characters, it was bound to happen at some point. Now with ORAS, and us needing a Grass type, and Sceptile getting a mega, chances are pretty high if we do get a new Pokémon imo.
Sceptile is the one character I really want.

Gen 4: i found the story to be amazing and kept me playing unlike the other gens this story was the best IMO. I loved the Pokemon Introduce and How my brother saying Macho man for Chatot Cry :3. I found it the best looking region with the gyms that were hard but i was 7…. i just loved it ALOT…. i cant wait for the remakes to rejourney into sinnoh even if im 25 ill be waiting :3

That show was so cheap and unoriginal. They cashed in on everything cartoons were doing. Even the Fiona and Cake episodes. Glad it is gone.

Yeah. It had originality at first, and was fun. Then it just got worse and worse..
It’s a shame they ruined the show after first season. It wasn’t so bad at the start. I actually liked it at first. When it got worse, it became obvious how bad it turned out. Saddening and it wasn’t even nostalgia that made me hate it, it just purely did bad ideas, animation, and humor wise.
I know. I loved it too… The animation and voice acting was pretty good at first too. Nostalgia didn’t even effect my hate for it as well.

Fancy Vivillon (the green one) is the one that will get released at 100 million GTS trades (which we reached last week). So they should release it soon (presumably july 4th).

Further details have been released for the upcoming Season 5 of the Special Battle in the Battle Spot mode of Pokémon X & Y. Not necessarily a gender change, more allowing the fetus to develop what it needs. The actual sex that the baby will be, would be determined at the point if conception based of chromosome pairing XX or XY.

Kind of a crude way to put it, but that’s not exactly how it happens. During early stages of pregnancy the fetus lacks the part that make it ‘male’ making it more akin to a ‘female’, however the I think the gender can be determined around 16-20 weeks into the pregnancy.
