What do you want from PokéJungle.net?

Here, at PokéJungle.net, I think it’s safe to say all of us are utterly tired with the lack of Pokémon news. There are slow trickles every so often, but nothing huge, or overly interesting. A few of the staff team having been working hard on Retry Level (which we’re actually rethinking, but you should check out!), but there’s actually very little going on.

I thought I’d take to time to ask our dedicated visitors and readers what they’d like to see from PokéJungle. We’ve shared some ideas for site additions before, and ever kickstarted some up, like our tournament – more on that in a second! But we’d like to hear what you’d like from the site; features, something completely new, or more of the same? Perhaps there’s something you’d like to see from a specific staff member? Let us know!

We can’t promise that we can implement every idea or begin work on them, but everything you guys forward to us gives us an idea of what we can do to make the site better, and your chosen Pokémon site.

The majority of you likely remember we announced, and opened sign-ups for our PokéJungle tournament last year. Since then we’ve been pretty hush on it. We’ve decided to hold off on hosting the tournament until summer, so that competitors have the most free time as possible, and over summer is the best chance for that. We’ll have more on our tournament later in the year!

So, yeah! What have you got to say? I’d also like to take this opportunity to ask you to try keep the comments for discussion of this topic, it really does help us knowing what you guys want from the site.   2. Okay firstly what allured me into this site was commenting system in the beginning. It was such good vibe to discuss things under posts. It really had that cozy and fuzzy community feeling. Now Pokejungle has grown too much and comment section is active more than anytime. I mean we have 5000 comments under a post now. This is amazingly succesful for PJnet, but I cannot say this is what I really enjoy. Yes, PJ had a community feeling and never lose it, the thing is that feeling has changed completely. Commenting system has turned into sort of chatting system. There’s no one to blame there though. Things change and it was inevitable for such a growing community. So, I don’t think anything can be done to go back. Therefore I conclude by saying that I don’t want anything particular from Pokejungle but I thank all of you, all the staff members and everyone for giving their heart to this little cozy site.

  3. What I want most is to finish that Gen week that was started leading up to the release of X and Y 🙂 We got through Gen 1 and Gen 2, but were never able to get to Gen’s 3, 4, and 5.

  9. Hm… An article dedicated to me, be first commenter… etc. XD Idk really. Even thought there’s no news, maybe pokemon Z/X2Y2/RRSS theories. Weird things in Pokemon. Opinions. Ideas. A whole article contributed to Jade Jungle (which you guys could help with too, just fyi). Just something interesting.

  10. I’d like a analysis on what we can expect in the rest of this Gen. What’s the real likelihood of us getting Hoenn remakes or sequels? If so, what changes can we expect to find in them? If not, what other games can expect to get? What do we have to look forward to in Pokemon Z? Or Pokemon Y2X2? Of course stuff like this is speculation, I would just like something thoughtful.

    Another particular article I’d like to see is an explanation on the wacky type chart. Grass resists electric? Ice has no resistances other than itself?

    Others things that you could do is stuff like reviewing the anime and general tips about the game (like thunder is 100% in the rain). Also, you could do something like ‘wifi battle of the week;’ find a decent wifi battle and show on the site.

  12. Yesterday watched the battle frontier spectile and ash bonding episode. :’) its powerful. Wish i could replace ash XD.

  19. What do I want…. Hmmmmm.
    1) Summer and Winter tournaments
    2) New layout, it’s not winter anymore bby! 😡
    3) Something to look forward to on a weekly basis. Examples could be a Pokemon of the week or a Feature: article each week. Improves content consistency
    4) A system or page (If possible) where we can chat freely (Chatango suck, sorry xD) in a layout similar to disqus to make the comments on articles more focused towards its content.
    5) Stalk some of the OG visitors and tell them to come back.
    6) Something we could all do as a community weekly. I know on RL we suggested a RL game night or something, maybe make one for here.

    I’ll edit if I come up with more suggestions.
