  1. I knew I would like it, but not until I actually played it did I feel the real delight! I mean, how could I not fall in love with Azurill and Mr. Mime’s . . . I don’t know what to call them since they’re not sprites anymore. The graphics are great. I really loved that there were constantly so many different pokemon to catch – and went out of my way to get as many as possible. The low number of new monsters was less disappointing than I thought it would be. The story is incredibly weak, but I do like that it means fewer in-depth distractions. I am still hoping that there are many more mega stones yet to be released, but I haven’t personally gotten into the mega evolutions at all (they remind me too much of using legendary pokemon, which never really suited me). I also love the super training section as a way to get your EVs up easily (double up bag + level 3 gets you 24 in one swoop!). Also, the experience share makes it possible to actually train a 6-monster team (which used to be very challenging). I am currently training up a team for online battles.
I do see room to improve for the follow up titles, though. First off, I found the game way to easy. I don’t remember anyone on my team ever even fainting. So, a hard mode would be welcome – but harder than the one in BW2, which I didn’t find particularly challenging (but was nice to have gym leaders have more monsters and use hold items). I would personally even like to see more than 8 gyms, but I understand the system in place. The characters are really missing a lot of, well, character, but that’s not a big issue. I have already forgotten half of the gym leaders and elite four members’ names. I think it would help if they had a larger part in the game outside of their own gyms. I also wonder, based on what Shauna says outside your house when you win, if the follow up will be the same group of kids in Hoenn?

    • For the most part I agree with you It looks amazing but I do feel its a bit easy… as much as I like the exp all it’s made my squad far too powerful too quickly not one gym has been a challenge. …. they need a mode for experienced trainers

I also find mega evolutions pointless they should have made them permanent and harder to find

  3. I’ve noticed Aegislash is very popular in Wi-Fi battles at the moment. Not sure if anyone is into Competitive Battling, but does Eviolite Doublade and Assault Vest Goodra make a good defensive core. I’m thinking of either using Ferrothorn or Doublade as a Physical Wall. Goodra as a Special Wall is a given. Any ideas….

      • Pokedexes for them:
        Hoopa, the Sound Wave Pokemon
        Psychic/Ghost
        1’3″
        6 lbs
Hoopa are blind, and use echolocation to find their way. It sends out pulses from the rings on it’s body, which can subdue foes.

        Volcanion, the Lava Whale Pokemon
        Fire/Water
        39’11”
        3,000 lbs
Volcanion floats idle in the sea, occasionally spewing lava from the vents on its back. Flying Pokemon often rest on it.

    • I prefer intimidate, makes him easier to switch in. Moxie boost is the same as 1 dragon dance. And Salamence isn’t going to KO much with fairies being immune to outrage and him having to rely on dragon claw.

        • the big ones to look out for are Mega Mawile (EQ or Fire Blast), TOGEKISS (nothing), Azumarill (Nothing), Gardevoir (poor defense, but still a threat)

        • make sure not to underestimate slurpuff, since draining kiss regains 75% of the damage done, it can recover quite easily, it also gets wish as well. it also gets coverage moves in flamethrower and psychic to take out any poison and steel types. its capable of a calm mind set too. sorry if I sound paranoid, I just think slurpuff is really overlooked and has a lot of potential
