N derives from Natural Number.
N exceeds humans. His IQ is bizarrely high.
He excels at math enough to be called a wizard of mathematics. A total genius.
Quick-witted. He has extreme mood swings.
He can see the past and future of people.
There are rumours that he was born from a pokemon. (Parents are unknown.)
He loves pokemon, keeps distance from humans.
He believes he’s perfect.
His ideology is to always put pokemon first.
Since he’s so unexperienced , he’s been rejected by humans. Therefore, he has a very strong connection to Pokemon.

I am guessing that some dude groped a tropius, and that’s how he got his last name. It’s strange… the people are good at naming pokemon, but people… seriously? Natural? Cilan? Brock?

Wait, so Harmonia is his middle name? I thought it was his family name, which is why Ghetsis shares the name with him. Or… maybe N is married? To someone whose surname is Gropius. And he changed his middle name to his last name. Yes. I understand that only the bride can do that, though… wonder who the lucky groom is?
At this point, I’m assuming that N is adopted. Therefore he received the surname “Harmonia” from Ghetsis, and “Gropius” is his birth surname. All conjecture on my part, of course.
Sounds reasonable but shouldn’t it be Gropius Harmonia then?
I’m not sure how names work in these situations… perhaps N never found out his birth name until later? And then added it on after…? I’m not sure. :/

Will his full backstory and faith ever be revealed or does it stay a mystery?
I’d rather let it remain a mystery, and let the fangirls dream a little more… either that or give him a history and make it really stupid, and that way get the fangirls to shut up.

This is just, need I say it, “Unnatural”, I’ve heard of people named “Forest” and “Autumn” and “Christopher Columbus”, and even one person called “Batman”, but NATURAL!? Either Ghetsis has a cruel sense of humor, or Game Freak is trolling the fanbase…

Actually Gropius is based from an architect by the name of Walter Gropius, full name Walter Adolph Georg Gropius. He actually created what is now known as the Bauhaus, a school in Germany that ironically didn’t have an architecture department when first built. From Wikipedia- The Bauhaus had a profound influence upon subsequent developments in art, architecture, graphic design, interior design, industrial design, and typography.
