A new Mega Evolution-focused expansion for the Pokémon TCG has been revealed: Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes! It will release worldwide starting January 30, 2026 and will introduce “Mega attack rare” cards which have artwork featuring attack names in Japanese.
The new set will include:
- 13 Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
- Six Tera Pokémon ex and 20 Pokémon ex
- 33 illustration rare Pokémon
- 14 ultra rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, Pokémon ex and Trainer cards
- Seven Mega attack rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
- 22 special illustration rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, Pokémon ex and Supporter cards

So far Mega Charizard Y ex, Mega Gengar ex, Entei and N’s Vanilluxe cards have been teased for the set.
Ascended Heroes products
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Collection (available Jan. 30, 2026): Includes two Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs, one promo card featuring a Trainer’s Pokémon, and one matching coin.
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Tech Sticker Collection (available Jan. 30, 2026): Includes three Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs; one rare-style promo card featuring Charmander or Gastly; and one sticker sheet featuring Mega Charizard Y or Mega Gengar, respectively, for personalizing laptops, tablets and other tech devices.
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box (available Feb. 20, 2026): Includes nine Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs, one illustration rare-style promo card featuring N’s Zekrom, and various gameplay accessories. Available in normal and Pokémon Center variants.
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Mini Tin (available Feb. 20, 2026): Includes two Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs, one art card, and one sticker card matching the tin’s art.
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection (available March 20, 2026): Includes 10 Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs; one Mega attack rare-style promo card featuring Mega Gardevoir ex or Mega Lucario ex; and one full-size, two-sided poster featuring a large print of the respective matching promo card.
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle (available April 24, 2026): Includes six Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs.
