The Pokémon battling game Pokémon Champions is now available for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles through the eShop. A mobile release for iOS and Android will be coming as well, but not for several months (the Korean website the mobile version may be releasing in June).
The game is free to download but features an optional membership and a separate premium battle pass track in addition to the one available for all players at no cost.
There is no single player component, all battles are against other players. Tournaments, Ranked Battles and Private Matches are available to take part in.
New Mega Pokémon’s Abilities revealed
With the game’s launch, information about the newly added Mega Evolutions’ Abilities has become available:
- Mega Clefairy: Magic Bounce
- Mega Victreebel: Innards Out
- Mega Starmie: Huge Power
- Mega Dragonite: Multiscale
- Mega Meganium: Mega Sol
- Mega Feraligatr: Dragonize
- Mega Skarmory: Stalwart
- Mega Chimecho: Levitate
- Mega Froslass: Snow Warning
- Mega Emboar: Mold Breaker
- Mega Excadrill: Piercing Drill
- Mega Chandelure: Infiltrator
- Mega Golurk: Unseen Fist
- Mega Chesnaught: Bulletproof
- Mega Delphox: Levitate
- Mega Greninja: Protean
- Mega Floette: Fairy Aura
- Mega Meowstic: Trace
- Mega Hawlucha: No Guard
- Mega Crabominable: Iron Fist
- Mega Drampa: Berserk
- Mega Scovillain: Spicy Spray
- Mega Glimmora: Adaptability
Currently, these are the only newly-introduced Mega Evolutions available to use in Champions.
