It’s hard to believe that it’s already been one year since we re-opened the official PokéJungle forums, Mount Moon Community. I envisioned a space in which fans could discuss the Pokémon games, franchise, gaming in general and life at large… and I’m really proud of how it has turned out.
Our forum had a 10-year history from 2006-2016 and now it has a new life twenty years later thanks to fans like you.

Even though we faced a challenging environment competing with social media and Discord, where most discussions happen these days, in just one year we’ve:
- Got 130 members
- Started 450 topics
- Amassed almost 2000 posts
- Held two Pokémon TCG Pocket tournaments (with eShop gift cards at stake!)
- Had a community Shiny Hunt
And now we’re ready to celebrate one year — with a Pokémon Legends: Z-A Battle Tournament! Entries close on March 18, so make sure you enter now! Only bragging rights at stake for this tourney, but it should be a fun clash with the real-time battles of Legends: Z-A.
If anything, 2025 and 2026 showed us all that independent spaces for communities are more important than ever. Even if you haven’t heard about the term enshittification, you can see its effects all around us. Social media platforms and technology giants are trying to extract as much value and data from their users as possible. We just saw Discord decide that it needed facial identification (which it has since backed down from, temporarily) after a massive ID leak last year.
So I hope that those who value independent communities will continue to support and discover what we have created with Mount Moon. So, so grateful for the community we have already built. Thank you.
