The Game Boy Advance titles Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen, first released in 2004, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 as digital downloads and pre-orders are now available through the console’s eShop app. Both are priced at $19.99 and will be released on February 27, Pokémon Day.

The listings confirm a few key details:
- Pokémon HOME support is planned (!)
- Players can enjoy local wireless play with friends for trading and battling
- Games support TV, tabletop and handheld Switch modes
- Each is about 40 mb in size
- Cloud saving is not supported
While the games are available in different languages, they must be purchased in the language you would like to play in. If you would like to play in multiple languages, it will require separate purchases.
Let us know if this is a good price point for the games or if you were hoping they might become available through the Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Don’t forget to join our forums and Discord server!
