Our friends at Pokémon TCG-focused fansite PokéBeach are reporting that the card game will be returning to McDonald’s in 2026 for a special promotion to celebrate the Pokémon franchise’s 30th anniversary!
Earlier this year, McDonald’s Japan posted an apology after an exclusive Pikachu card led to scalping and food waste.
Hopefully there will be steps in place to limit scalping and waste so that more cards land in the hands of fans and not for-profit resellers hoping to make a quick buck.
Previous TCG promotions have included four-card booster packs and other goodies, such as posters and stickers. You can see our short opening video from the 2025 promotion below.
