A very special event is coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet — players will be able to challenge the Shiny Treasures of Ruin in Tera Raid battles. But they won’t be able to catch them right away; players from across the globe will have to work together in order to defeat enough raids so that everyone can get the Pokémon via Mystery Gift.
There are also consecutive Mass Outbreaks scheduled focusing on Grass, Ice, Ground and Fire Type with increased Shiny odds!
Shiny Treasures of Ruin Tera Raids
As mentioned above, players won’t be able to catch Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu, and Chi-Yu after defeating them in Tera Raids, but must work together with other players to defeat the Pokémon a million times to get it as a Mystery Gift:
“If the total number of player victories against one of these featured Pokémon collectively meets or exceeds one million during its given event period, then that Shiny Pokémon will become available via Mystery Gift at a later date.”
Players can also get a Tera Shard Set with 40 Tera Shards for every one hundred thousand victories against a Tera Raid boss beyond the one million victory goal, with a maximum of 10 Tera Shard Sets being earnable.
The Shiny Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu, and Chi-Yu will be featured in consecutive Tera Raid battle events. The schedule of when they’ll be running are as follows:
Shiny Wo-Chien with Grass Tera Type
- Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT
Shiny Chien-Pao with Ice Tera Type
- Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT
Shiny Ting-Lu with Ground Tera Type
- Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT
Shiny Chi-Yu with Fire Tera Type
- Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT

Mass Outbreak details
There will also be consecutive Mass Outbreak events running featuring Grass, Ice, Ground and Fire-type Pokémon. There will be an increased chance of finding Shiny Pokémon in these.
