The Pokémon Latin America International Championships (LAIC) are coming up soon and provide a chance for competitive players to prove themselves and try to earn entry into the 2025 World Championships. Fans can look forward to both in-person events and streamed matches online from November 15 to 17.
In-person events in São Paulo, Brazil
Players will be competing at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo and the match schedule can be seen above. Competitors will get a welcome kit with various Pokémon goods featuring the event’s mascot this year, Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon.
In addition to the matches, both competitors and spectators can take part in other events at the venue. There will be various activities at which attendees can earn tickets to exchange for prizes.
Pokémon distributions and more to be given out on Twitch
Even if you can’t attend in person, the matches will be streamed via Twitch and there will also be download codes to redeem in various Pokémon games or Twitch Drops for:
- A Shiny Pelipper based on the one used by North American International Championships winner Patrick Connors will be distributed via Mystery Gift code for owners of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet
- Special Timed Research in Pokémon GO via Twitch Drops
- Codes for Pokémon TCG Live in addition to Twitch Drops for booster packs and items
