Pokémon GO leaks new Pokémon (UPDATE)

Warning: This post contains information about a new Pokémon appearing in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that is not officially revealed yet.

Dataminers have discovered the model of a new, unnamed Pokémon added in the code of Pokémon GO. It is a bipedal species that, because of antenna-like structures on its head, resembles a bug. It can be seen in action in the embedded tweet below:

A brand new Pokémon?

A new Pokémon has been added with a file named "pmMystery" inside the file is it referred to as pm1080 so Pokémon Number 1080. Only 3D assets were added, no 2D yet to see.

No name or type was included in the code, so much about this Pokémon remains a mystery, however it correlates with leaked hints about a new species being added in Scarlet and Violet. If those hints are correct, it may be Ghost/Steel-type.

UPDATE: The Pokémon is officially making its debut in the game as the Community Day Classic event, featuring Dratini, ends in local time zones (2 PM to 5 PM). It will follow the player, but no additional information about its name or type is known.
