There have been rumors that a new Nintendo Switch model was in the works and today it was officially announced that a new version will be launching later this year! Known simply as Nintendo Switch (OLED model), the revamped device sports a “7-inch OLED screen, a wide adjustable stand, a dock with a wired LAN port, 64 GB of internal storage, and enhanced audio”.
This is slightly different than a “pro” version which some were expecting, but the bigger screen and vibrant display should be quite the upgrade. Will it be enough to warrant dropping $349.99 when it launches on October 8? It may be a hard sell for those who use their Switch primarily in the docked TV mode.
