Pokémon Rhythm Game Announced in Japan for Smartphones

pokemon-dance-screensA new free-to-play smartphone game, called “Shall We Dance? Pokémon Band”, has been announced. It will be released soon for both iOS and Android. The gameplay seems to be similar to other rhythm titles, with notes coming down from the top of the screen and players having to tap the correct button in time with the music. The music featured will be “Gao Gao All Star” by Little Glee Monster, which is the current anime season’s closing credits theme.

You can watch and listen to the track on YouTube:

  1. Eh PJ… The video isn’t available in the US. ;-; Also the screen shots remind me of the dance portion of the Sinnoh contests.

  2. “A soft spread of saddened words, about the bear and
bird, the two once great now sat in despair spinning around on their swivel
    chair”

“Abandoned here by the spiraly cliffs, you could say we
    were all quite miffed”

“The bird exclaimed in a snort and a snoot, “I
don’t give a flying flute! It has sure been a hoot””

“The bear let out a mighty groan, as the two best
friends sat all alone, to sit upon their (not so mighty) throne until they
    became dust and bone”

“The duo we loved now lost and disgraced left a hole in
our hearts we thought could not be replaced”

“But the shaman’s magic worked with haste!”

“From where the bear and bird once sat appeared a chameleon and a bat. These
new heroes in disguise would pull the wool over all of their eyes”
