Gengar Revealed as Playable Fighter in Pokkén Tournament

Pokkén Tournament, an upcoming Japanese arcade fighter, has had a new character revealed during a recent NicoNico broadcast. Gengar, everyone’s favorite Ghost/Poison type Pokémon will be haunting the ring and bringing some ghostly moves to the game. It joins the expanding roster which already includes Lucario, Gardevoir, Machamp, Suicune and of course series mascot Pikachu.

Regretfully, when I met up with TAHK0, who got some hands-on experience with the game, he gave me his not-so-rosy impressions and complained about the long attack animations and simplistic battles.

  2. Gengar is an interesting pick. Seems like he could b cool. It’s a shame that if what ur saying is true then the game could b a flop…..Maybe they’ll fix and tweak it b4 the final release for arcade. Then if that does well it’ll come to the Wii U!!!!! I can dream lol
