Mega Rayquaza has been confirmed in the ongoing stream for Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire on niconico and in an all-new trailer for the games.
Mega Rayquaza will gain the ability Delta Stream. This Ability protects all Flying Type Pokémon, halving their flying type weaknesses(such as electric, ice, rock). Delta Stream will also cancel the effects of any abilities that introduce weather to the battle, thanks to the new Strong Winds weather condition it introduces. Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Sandstorm, and Hail will fail if Strong Winds is active.
Mega Rayquaza also gains an exclusive new move: Dragon Ascent. The move has one of the highest power ratings of all Flying-type moves. Dragon Ascent is not only powerful, but looks amazing.
Almost all of Rayquaza’s stats receive a boost when the Pokémon Mega Evolves.
Heavy was right. He hit it first.

Strong Winds weather condition may be the new weather condition that ORAS introduces and is not exclusive to Rayquaza.

The only reason I could come up with is that it has something to do with Rayquaza’s new signature move Dragon Ascent in Japanese: Garyou Tensei, which is a idiom that means something that wraps it all up. It’s etymology comes from a story about a chinese artist drawing a dragon, and how it draws it’s eye last, resulting in it descending into the heavens. Obviously a fountain pen wouldn’t be used for that, so I’m not really sure.

At first, I was like “What the hell Game Freak? What is this ****?!” when I saw Mega Rayquaza. I thought it was the ugliest Mega Evolution ever created. But now, upon closer inspection and learning about it’s abilities, it looks like some kind of god.

And the ability for it to Mega Evolve and call in these Jet Stream like winds to nullify Flying type weaknesses is just so… OMG! I’m sorry Rayquaza about what I said about your Mega Evolution being ugly. 🙁

They were revealed to be Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza’s signature moves.
They did not specify the primal and would definitely not be exclusive to the Megas.

Need I say that this is one of the most amazingly designed Mega Evolutions ever for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
I am a huge fan of its delta-like head, which was definitely expected in the first place. Its new move and ability sounds SO kickass, which will definitely make it one of the most sought-after Mega evolutions. I’m also a huge fan of the black portions of its body.
However, those orange circle-like things floating from its body kinda get in the way of its overall figure, and make it seem less mean and ferocious.
Nonetheless, this is by far my favorite Mega Evolution in ORAS and I’m excited to see just how differently it will Mega Evolve. 🙂

Mega Rayquaza is life. Mega Rayquaza is god. This morning, when I first saw it, I admit I said “What the hell Game Freak?” and thought it was ugly. But after staring at pictures for hours and getting used to it, I really like it. It’s ability is great. Sorta reminds me of Xerneas/Yvelta’s abilities because they help a type like Rayquaza’s but it’s also like Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre’s too in that it overrides weather! I can’t wait to find out it’s story on why it wasn’t a Primal Reversion! 🙂

The patch they release for XY in November is gonna be huge. 15- or so Megas, 3 new weather conditions, Primal Reversion, and a lot more to come hopefully
So far, we have 42 Megas (excluding the Lati Twins) total. I think in the end, the total for ORAS will be at 50. And that we will get 20 more in Pokemon Z/X2Y2 and then we’ll be done. I don’t think they’re gonna release a patch despite the Latis being in the coding. I have a feeling they’re just gonna bring all the Megas together for one final installment in Generation VI, that being Pokemon Z/X2/Y2.
They might want to incorporate the new Megas in XY
If they did, that’d be great, it would extend the shelf life for X and Y. But I just don’t see it happening.

Well, they said it protects the Flying-type Pokemon, so we’re not sure if it for just the typing, or if any Flying-type Pokemon gets all damage nullified. So it could just be just the Flying part, so it may still have 2x weakness to Ice-types.
You hit it until it’s fainted, just like any other Pokemon out there.
Except Ice does only 2x to it now, along with Fairy and Dragon.

1) I didn’t even know it existed. I didn’t get Diamond version until Platinum was going to come out a couple months later. It made me sad
2) It was really slow, I don’t understand how more advanced hardware than what R/S/E had to work with was THAT much more slow
3) The soundfont was awful. While I liked some of the tunes, the soundfont used was just bad.
4) No water
5) Elite 4 theme was basically the same again after Hoenn finally changed that

7) Barry was the most annoying rival for me, I hate him. That was until Shauna, but she’s not a rival, she’s a thot

#4 Sinnoh has way too many caves for anyone to like. I mean, yes, Gold and Silver had a great many caves, but at least there was a POINT to going into each cave. In Diamond/Pearl, it’s just like HOLY SHI7 GO INTO A CAVE CUZ THERES LIKE 52523 OF THEM AND YOU HAVE TO BATTLE 513412 ZUBATS TO GET 10 FEET.
#11 Sinnoh’s day/night system has no point. Seriously, no one CARES here because the whole “Pokemon come out only at certain times” effect was killed in this version. Gold/Silver did it way better.

Okay, I’m gonna be the unpopular guy here, and say that I firmly believe in Team Magmas ideology. Humans need more space for development, and lowering the sea levels is a definite way to fix land problems. For example, the Northern Ireland conflict. Ireland could get some of the land that would end up touching England, in exchange for well, letting go of Northern Ireland. The Israel Pakistan conflict could solve problems by sorting out some agreement with the old land and the newly created land. The Mediterranean Sea will become a humongous lake, satisfying the land appetites of France, Spain, Italy, ect. Russia can take numerous amounts of land that touch it quelling its desire in Ukraine, and Japan can maybe even move its capital to a less earthquake prone zone perhaps. America’s coastline will extend outwards, and the Canadian Islands will become part of mainland Canada. In the end, almost everyone befits, and it is something that, well would put humankind on the right path.

It has access to the move V-create which will boost it’s defence, special defence and speed by 1 stage everytime it’s used, And it has Draco Meteor which will boost its special attack by 2 stages every time it’s used.
I wouldn’t say unbeatable, but It would become overwhelmingly strong.
