Eh, I think the only starter line that lines up “perfectly” in any game is Bulbasaur’s. He just keeps turning into a bigger Bulbasaur.

Look at Wartortle: he has fangs and wing-ears and a fluffy tail and turns into Blastoise who has none of those features.

We’ve got a cat with obvious mental issues and I call him our “tardy cat”. He’s like a Down’s Syndrome kid. Out of all our cats, he’s the most playful and fun, and the household favorite.

Yes, most likely, I’ll feel the same about Gyms. But still, after the surprise in Mt Silver, must challenges have paled in comparison ever since. It’s hard to have a build-up for every character (like with Cynthia)..
I think it’s more about impact than amount of time.. which isn’t bad either, and yours isn’t a bad idea.
